Free to air F1 likely to end

I don't understand the 'I should be able to buy just the F1 channel' argument?

You can't buy any other Sky channel individually, why should the F1 channel be any different?

Because people believe that since the sport has been on free to air forever, that they have a right to see it, and Sky are an evil company denying them their human rights. They forget that this sport is a business, not a charity

I think anyone with SSF1 should be grateful that its included in the HD pack and not bundled exclusively with the other 4 Sports channels.

Just look at some of the other Sky exclusive sports that require the full £20 pack, like Speedway or IndyCar.

F1 fans got a good deal.

Because you shouldn't have to put up with ball "sports", which should be eradicated from existence, when you want to watch real sports.

It's because people are loathe to buy a whole package of channels when they only want one channel and for the most part probably only even want that one channel for a few hours every other weekend over the summer.

It's not exactly a high volume of content (at least in terms of the content people are buying the channel for, i'm sure they've found plenty of filler for it)

I'm paying because I got a discount and the p.q is very good, having watched the coverage I have been impressed and find anything BBC very patronising now.

I am enjoying the comprehensive gp2 and gp3 coverage as well.

I don't want the BBC 'love in' even when they got exclusive interviews they asked stupid questions.

Since the BBC lost full live rights I have not watched a single F1 race this year. Thanks BBC, I have my weekends back.

not much of a fan then are we,

If they do leave free to air, hopefully all the casual viewers will sod off back to watching xfactor or something and we might get decent coverage.

lol, nothing like an elitist audience to really gain popularity for a sport

its one of the worst f1 seasons ive watched in the last 20 years.....

they are trying to hard to encourage fake overtaking.

i would rather see a proper driver duel and the tension of it all unfolding.

Last season was worse IMO. At least this year Vettel isn't winning them all with next to no competition from the rest.

either way i cant take any pleasure from seeing whos tyres work this week and whos dont.

overtaking is almost exclusive to the DRS zone now, as schumacher showed in canada its not worth doing a real overtake before the DRS or the other guy just presses a button and cruises back past.

loads of people on here even said it was schumachers fault for not waiting until the drs zone which just about sums up this new formula
