Free to air F1 likely to end

either way i cant take any pleasure from seeing whos tyres work this week and whos dont.

overtaking is almost exclusive to the DRS zone now, as schumacher showed in canada its not worth doing a real overtake before the DRS or the other guy just presses a button and cruises back past.

loads of people on here even said it was schumachers fault for not waiting until the drs zone which just about sums up this new formula

This just sounds like "wah, my team aren't winning". DRS has helped all of the teams at some point in the season, and yet the best drivers / teams are still at the top of the chart. For better or for worse, the regs have created a very close season in the points. I much prefer this to an overwhelming majority to any one driver.

artifically close between the top teams yes.
gone are the days of a season long duel between 2 drivers i guess.

everyone in the know calls it a lottery...

redbull's marko even said we understand the tyres now bla bla before canada and then the race showed us they obviously dont understand this weeks tyres only last weeks..

i dont care if schumacher does rubbish or mercedes i can happily give my suport to alonso

got anything to add to the topic? if not dont come in here and have a go at people.......

He's making more of a contribution that the constant stream of endless moaning drivel coming from you.

If your really not enjoying F1 that much why do you still spend so much time on here? Unless of course your craving for attention through any means outweighs your need to enjoy the sport you seem to like nothing about.

Or maybe you just simply can't cope with Schumacher not doing well?

The topic? Would that be the topic of the F1 TV rights, that the thread was created about in the first place?

Or do you mean the same old "this season is boring blah blah blah" moaning from someone who's clearly not going to change their mind, and yet still feels the need to tell us all how much he's not going to change his mind? That topic?

You've contributed about as much to the topic in this thread as I have. Arknor, meet Mr. Kettle. Kettle, arknor.

*Sigh*

Here we go again.....

Just because I don't think the Sky deal is the worst thing since the holocaust and that they are pure evil who's sole aim is to destroy F1, it must mean I think they are brilliant? I must love the fact I'm £35 a month lighter

God forbid I should hold a balanced and realistic viewpoint based on the facts of the situation. Perhaps I should repeatedly spout speculative and sensationalist drivel in poor English instead...

Actually, I never even mentioned Sky in that post, so what the hell are you on about?

Arknor can always be guaranteed to try and jump in on an argument that doesn't exist

Anyway, leaving the stroppy kid to one side, back on topic. F1 was always going to leave free to air at some point, we all know that deep down. Bernie tried to move to Sky 10 years ago, so we should think ourselves lucky its lasted this long. All we can hope now is that the BBC hold onto their contact until 2018 to both keep some free F1, and also to keep the Sky races advert free.

haven't they tried the pay to view on all races before and that flopped so badly after the first year they dropped it. I barely watch the bbc channels and im not going to get sky for one channel.

Yes. There was an F1 channel on Sky about 10 years ago.

However, it was an individual channel run by FOM I think. It was very different to SSF1 which has the full weight of Sky behind it.

When Sky buy into a sport, they really go for it.
