His partner long term partner (35 years unmarried) and her 50 year old daughter. All equal share. His partner is a toxic snake, she was involved in the company issue and would play him like a puppet, her daughter is normal but enjoys the cash that is thrown her way so plays the game.

I think it may have been a fiddle to avoid care home costs, i still don't recall signing a TR1 and he would for sure have made me kneel at his feet for this.

Thanks for reading, it does help especially the jokey replies as I question myself at times, I lived in a circus for so long.

A truly bizarre situation, and suspect this won't be the last thing I hear.

From what I understand and this maybe incorrect, the charge relates to his 25% share, so effectively he could end up with a paltry figure here. His partner will have had a nuclear meltdown.

She maintained all along do what you want just don’t mess about with the house, when he convinced her about switching out the utility meters and subsequently having to switch back under threat of arrest that would have been the last straw.

I sense they wont be partners for much longer, he's given away 25% of his house to you, anyone else?
Then hes got charges on whatever his percentage is, take it thats to split with his partner?

I am calling the Land Registry today, they don't take calls on a Friday...
I should be able to get hold of the documents, I may have signed the TR1, just with circumstances and events around that period I genuinely cannot remember.
It looks like the house is in a trust??

It's a shame I didn't recall this, as I could have used it as significant leverage when I spent 6 months negotiating with the fool to buy his 60% share in the company.

I didn't realise, but once the charge order is in place the creditor can force the sale of the property to cover the debt.
 
Trusts are good and bad. Nothing can happen to the house unless all trustees agree.....but you might be a trustee with the above mentioned nutters....also you might not be a trustee and they above mentioned nutters decided to do something with the house and you can't influence it.

Maybe.

When I got through today they were very helpful. I can request the TR1 and the deeds which will get mailed to me in 5 days. So we'll see what's happened soon.
 
I have all the paperwork, looks like the house is in a trust of some sorts, In January 2020 I signed a TR1, not sure if they can get themselves out of it without my consent. It does appear that the trust can be changed. Begs the question why hasn't he done this yet though.
Mid 2020 was when he fully went down the rabbit hole, he was a horrible **** preceding that, but at the time it was more about protecting the business and doing as he asked.

He hasn't settled the debt yet so its still sat with the courts to get the full charging order in place, they did confirm that the debt is 100% his and on his share of the house.

I've encountered these criminals before (around 20 years ago when my Brother and Sister got entangled with a religious group).
They've been around for a while. An old car parking forum I used to frequent (Pepipoo, sadly now closed) had a long thread on the FMOL, and the devastation they cause (I see the same names appearing in this thread, and one of the first instances of 'social media' being used to drum up an 'angry mob' when the poor sods bungalow was about to be repossessed and they made him climb onto the roof).

I'm shocked that the 'powers that be' are still letting this harm continue.

More 'how do I stop the mercenary private car parking clamping my car when I'm disabled etc' kind of thing. For the uninitiated, clamping is now illegal in this country, due partly to the activities in of that forum.

For criminal offences they would advise on the correct legal interpretation of the Statutory law. Civil matters would be advice on how to fight unjust 'tickets'. This work is carried on here.
