howdy
Right, our crappy little fridge in the kitchen has a freezer compartment at the very top, the door broke on it about 10 years ago (hinge was hanging off so it didn't seal properly), and ever since then it has just been 1 huge block of ice, so today with a fire poker I smashed around the edges and it just slid out like a huge cube of ice and I took the door off completely.
Now... the fridge its self before that I was running with it on setting 4 the coldest and stuff was pretty cool but not cold cold.
Now I have removed the door on the freezer bit, in theory that will just keep the rest of the fridge colder now right? and also ill be able to turn the fridge settings down to 1 or 2 rather being on full, saving electric and being cold if not colder?
And if that theory works, well will the freezer box its self start freezing up again? or will it make food go funny or anything like that? because what im thinking is it wont freeze because the cold air is now cooling the whole fridge, but will it make all the fridge moist or something?
heres the fridge in question. (crap I know)!
Iv put a cola bottle at the top to see if it freezes etc and see what happens.
