French Open 2022

18 minute game and we're all square at 3-3. Momentum's shifted.

Edit: Almost 2 hours and they're only a set and a half in. Broadcasters need shooting, could easily end up finishing 2-3am.

1 set all and I'm giving up, McEnroe's an abysmal commentator and his constant Novak dick riding is way over the top. Can't stomach the man.

That game was an absolute joy to watch. I felt Djokovic was struggling with Nadal at times, even though he definitely had moments where he was in the ascendancy too.

Brilliant stuff.

Fantastic from Rafa! I just hope he doesn't feel the 8 hours in two matches on the court, or suffer any niggles to his foot for the match with Zverev. Surely one of these two will be the champion? Hard to see anyone from the other side of the draw winning.

That seems a bloody long match for a 3-1, especially as two of the sets were 6-2
Yes it was. I gave up watching it. One game had been going on for 8 minutes, I went down to make a coffee, got back and the same game was still going, something like 19 minutes for one game.

Doesn't help either that both take ages to serve

I'd expect Rafa to win it if he gets past Zverev. If he loses to Zverev I can see Ruud or Cilic winning it.

Can't believe he broke back at 4-5* in the final. Was only listening at that point but had to put it on to see if he could do it in 4.

Crossed fingers for Rafa, watching the Australian open final was my sporting highlight of the year so far...

It depends on Zverev's state of mind, on his day he has the game to best anyone but mentally he's fragile (his clutch double faults can be crippling at times).

Happy to see Cilic do well, he's a quality player, though I have nothing against Rublev (can seem brattish on court but comes across as humble off it, and I love the forehand).

Expecting Nadal to clean house here. Zverev has a really weak mental game and there is nothing more mentally taxing than challenging the king of clay on his home turf, when only two players in 20 years have ever defeated him there (and technically Soderling beat a Nadal who had family troubles at the time).

Zverev probably feels 'over the hill' now that he has avenged his loss against Alcaraz, too.

Cilic and Ruud is a harder call. I expect Ruud to win, but if Cilic goes complete god mode again, then he could do it.
