Customer Service is a funny thing, I haven't been a part of this ordeal and I can honestly say Evoaddict has gone a thousand miles. The turn around, the support, the contact is amazing. But as people have said, customers sometimes will just blame you, I have had customers like that and even thought that sending them away on a 3 week holiday would still not keep them happy.

I am glad with what we have done, but also sad that there is no respect or appreciation, as from the start we could have just said no.

i know that shop in edinburgh and they really are cowboys, they tried to sell me a generic psu before when i asked for a branded one with a certain amount of amps on the 12v rail, so i went across the road and bought an fsp one from their competitor :)

this is what i thought at first, i thought it was just some kid with adolescent behaviour,
but as he's still kicking off and accused OcUK of damaging his case and seeing in his profile that he's 42yo im leaning towards mental health problems

This has been painful to read.

Having only 'converted' to OcUK a year or so ago having ditched Bolton, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else now.

Thankfully I have never actually had a reason to contact Support for any technical issues, but if I did I wouldn't completely forget the basic principles of respect and good manners. Such a shame that this idiot couldn't engage his brain for a split second.

If he had half a brain, he'd realise that the support he was given was well above what he'd get from just walking into PC World for example. Maybe one day when he's grown up, he'll realise that.

Absolutely outstanding service from OcUk. I doubt any other company would have done the same thing... Credit to you guys!!!

Bloody hell. It's a good job I'm sat down.

I could perhaps understand his blame behaviour if he were under the age of 18 and not used to the cruel realities of life, but to be 42 and still behave like that is crazy. Must have lived a very sheltered life with mummy.
 
Think people are being a bit harsh if I'd spent a grand on a system and it died after only 18 months I'd not be the happiest either and it seems atleast one company possibly more (not sure what the deal is with the RAM) have tried to take advantage of him and/or sent him down the wrong path due to bad information and may even be the cause of the issues with his PC. Just a shame he couldn't have given OcUK a bit more slack when it became apparent that they weren't the company that was messing him around.

Update for you guys:

It was the graphics card that had died, the rest of the system was fine.

Though the case was damaged on the way to us from him, but we will get DPD to replace that.

Please note, if you are returning a system, or in fact any part to us please place the item in a box with bubble wrap around it, as our couriers have to move it about a lot and it is more likely to get damaged if either is not present. If you can't get hold of either we do have a service to send you out some, though you would have to wait for it to arrive (Which is also why we advise keeping the original packaging as long as possible)

Gritts unfortunately still believes we are to blame, and even thinks we damaged his case on purpose and not the courier even though it makes no sense as we never even needed to get the item back and damaging his case would only create headaches for ourselves.

Oh well, you can help some of the people some of the time but you can't help all the people all of the time.

Hope eventually he realises what we have tried doing for him.

Annoyed or not, he was down right rude to people who were trying to help. The way he conducted himself was not conducive to getting anything resolved in his favour.

Clearly even after OcUK went above and beyond to help him out, he was an ungrateful sod.
 
Wow, cringed reading this whole thread.

Gritts you are a royal **** you deserve to get mugged by these idiotic companies, at least you have something in common with them. :)
