Friends reunited

Was initially disappointed when I heard corden was hosting, but thankfully he was not featured heavily.

Schwimmer - came across well.

Le Blanc - man he's piled it on, but what a guy

Perry - as poster above, his teeth were blinding! Not sure I believe the dental story, I would put I hope demeanour down to years of substance and alcohol abuse.

Jen/Courtney - lay off the botox.

Lisa - she looks amazing. I also enjoyed the lady gaga bit!

Really enjoyed the reunion, but listening to their comments about new episodes, I now agree - leave friends as it is.

Well worth a watch.

Yep. Defo they should leave it as it is.

I was surprised at how good Lisa looks relative to the other two and she is the oldest. Just goes to show, Botox face is just horrible. I mean if you are going to do it, it needs to be ever so tiny amount. I think David has some in his face also as it does not look right. Matt looks normal for example.
 
Loved it, enjoyed it, then found out they all negotiated 2.5 mil each to show up. HBO forked the cash for it. At that price it felt like a missed opportunity to do something truly great out of it. At least something not hosted by ****** Corden.

Not sure I follow? $2.5mil is pocket change to them when they get $20mil each every year from royalties.

And thank Christ for that, it amazes me that he’s gone down so well over there, but the yanks love a Brit accent.
Can’t deny that he made a decent job of co-writing “Gavin and Stacey”, but he hammed it up greatly as Gavin’s friend Smiffy in the actual production.
I saw him with Sheridan Smith when they were dating years ago, they were swanning around Westfield, Shepherds Bush, entwined in each other’s arms, as if they owned the place.
I think that someone like Jimmy Kimmel would have been more suited to emcee the Friends thing, Corden was like an annoying kid that nobody likes, trying to interrupt a conversation in which he wasn’t really wanted.
The friends cast looked pretty good to me, although Matt Leblanc had put on a bit of pudding, and Matthew Perry looked a bit ragged at the edges, but not overly so, Lisa Kudrow, at 57 looked fantastic, Courtney, Jennifer, and David had only slightly aged, and I was pleased that Gunther, the Central Perk barista made an appearance, if only briefly.
Obviously they couldn’t include everyone who’d ever appeared in the show, but Maggie Wheeler, (Janice), made the cut, and Tom Selleck too, but Phoebe’s brother Frank, (Giovanni Ribisi) was conspicuous by his absence.
 
Finally got round to watching this, was a bit wary of a reunion. I must say they did a great job with this, the format really worked, loved the table read mixed in with the original scenes.

Was Lisa Kudrow bitten by the immortal vampire Paul Rudd? They both seem to have barely aged since Friends.
 
I did enjoy it and they came across really well, 1 thing that I did think is it looked like Perry was suffering mentally with being there, he looked like a rabbit in headlights on a couple of the bits.

Corden was his usually bell-end self and how he gets any screen time both this and that side of the pond is baffling to me.

I completely agree that it should be left alone now and stay in the past because to try and release something would either make it too watered down or be up for being banned due to the delicate nature of people in this day and age.
 
Matt, David and Lisa appeared to handle it quite well, a fairly stoic approach considering all the emotions it must have brought back. Rachael, Courteney and Matthew seemed to be struggling to hold it together.

Some of the celebrity bits were a bit cringy, should have just stuck to the original characters showing back up.

I'll probably get nailed for this but young Courteney > young Jennifer.
 
I had to google who on earth came in and sang smelly cat, didn't even recognise Gaga.

I did laugh at the getting ridiculously famous people to model the silly costumes though.

I'd just nail them both.

The young ones that is. Can't stand the botox they both are injected full of now. Lisa looks so much better than those two.

Tbf I didn't either, my partner had to tell me. Than again I do not know much about any of the start the past decade or so. For the most part the music is not my cup of tea. I like more 70-90's.
