Fringe

Well, every story should come to an end. If Season 5 ends with a Bang, I'd rather it end than dragged longer than its peak. Alias ended just off its peak as it should, Lost dragged a little too long and 24 just went on and on for too many days. I will enjoy this Final Season then :)
 
End of season 4 comment...

They absolutely destroyed everything that was great about Fringe at the end of season 4 by rushing to wrap it up because they didn't know if they would get a new season or not...I think it would have been better to stay the course and if they were cancelled finish the story in graphic novel format rather than rush it...who know's where season 5 will go and how they will tie it up now.
 
Thanks for the answers i heard good things about it and was even suggested to watch it by a few off here, but the pilot had me really bored it was far far too slow to build up to anything.

will give it a go though :)

Yup, I have huge fears about S5 feeling tacked on. Anyone remember B5 season 5 :(

From what I've read in mags and seen in clips it's going to be set in the future where the watchers have taken over...sounds less like Fringe and more like any other overthrow-the-corrupt-powers-that-be programme.

Fingers crossed it's not like that...

Thanks for this, I'll be sure not to venture into this thread until the season is over as I'm sure someone less thoughtful will mention it without spoilers at some point lol.

I think you'll be fine after episode one airs this Friday, in my spoiler tag I was talking about what I've gleaned from magazines and preview Youtube clips, I think it'll all be covered by episode one.

I think most people in here are pretty good at hiding spoilers, they are in the True Blood thread...just rampant speculation and plot guessing in the rest of the thread which is quite fun!
 
Been rewatching season 5 to get back up to speed. It is great overall, but I hope they can find a way to get back to the original timeline. It is just too messy with things that make little sense as it is.

Hmmm, okay, I'll risk it. Just noticed Fringe doesn't air in the UK for another month anyway so I'll be well clear before any discussion starts.
