Froch vs Groves

The way that leg just tucked up under him reminds me so much of CroCop vs Gonzaga.

Called every single fight tonight, only put one bet on - DeGale in Rounds 4-6 and Froch Round 7 double. 1 round away from a pretty decent payout.

Oh well, glad Froch got the win. I think he was absolutely correct in what he said after the first fight, Groves was done and in danger of serious damage when the referee stepped in. Tonight I think he proved without a doubt that he was clearly the better boxer, has a better chin and hits substantially harder.

All respect to Groves, but I don't think he should be calling out Froch again in his career.

Glad to see that mouthy little **** Groves get a good hiding, both in the fight and the interview afterwards.
Froch was a different proposition to the first fight and has deservedly won both.
Let's hope he gets the Chavez megafight in Vegas then retires as champ.

great way to respond to the critics from Froch. after watching the gloves are off i knew Froch was ready to 'finish the business'. but also sparring with Eubank jnr was great for keeping him on his toes, Groves didn't expect Froch to be as technical in his style as he was tonight, the way Froch fought i think that style could still keep him relevant for another 1-2 years at that level,he has proved himself over and over again and no one can argue that fact now.

what was Eubank snr doing with that monocle?

But what I saw from Groves tonight, is that he can cope with the best.

But unfortunately he didn't cope with the best.
Not even against a below par best in the last fight. You honestly think he could live with Kessler, Ward, Chavez or even DeGale? I very much doubt it, he was horribly exposed by Froch tonight.

EDIT: If you can't take one good thump at this level of super middleweight you don't stand a chance. I often think this is the most savage weight division.

Groves beats Degale 10 fights out of 10.

Froch will destroy Degale if that fight happens as well.

Living in the US, wasn't really familiar with Groves.. Was of Froch though, and i knew he was as tough as old boots. Perhaps not the most charismatic fighter out there, but when push came to shove, he always came out tops. (apart from the Ward fight)

Froch was up to his old tricks again, not great head movement, lack of defense, but again, dug in deep and 'destroyed' his opponent.

I'm fairly certain, Groves will never come back from such a violent knock out.

One thing you can say about Froch is he's climbed up some tough ladders for his respect, which he wholeheartedly deserves.

Froch was just barely winning on points until the knockout. You can't possibly say he 'destroyed' Groves when he clearly didn't, even though he won the fight with a very good punch.

Don't get me wrong, Froch is the better fighter and always will be in that weight, But when he steps down, Groves looks to be the next best.

Groves folded like a deck chair on the canvas, says otherwise. :p

I was a brutal knockout. The sort of KO, that fighters never really recover from. They become gun-shy. I hope its not going to be the case with Groves, but it often is.

That one punch did yes. But the fight says otherwise. Did you not read what I said?
