I don't know if this annoys anyone else but it does me. Why do some people insist on putting their front fog lights on when it isn't foggy? Even worse, why do they put them on and then put just their side lights on? Sometimes, not only isn't it foggy but it isn't even dark!

I always make a point of flashing them when I see it. I seem to remember it being classed as an offense, but with seeing more and more drivers doing it I'm wondering if the law has been changed?

Few weeks back when in London my uncle was driving me to the Getty exhibition and on the way we got stopped by a patrol officer who said there was nothing majorly wrong other than his fogs were simply on and requested they be turned off.

My uncle said they can’t be turned off and they’ve always been on. (It’s a Corrolla T3 2003 plate and he got it from new) After words being spoken back and forth about every car having fogs that can be turned off he told the officer that he was welcome to try and turn it off but the offer gave in and told us to have a safe journey.

I mentioned in the car that every car has fogs that can be turned off and he decided to have a play with the stalk switches and suddenly a faint light on the dash went off (fog indicator). Basically he thought the fog indicator was a normal headlights = on indicator so never once budged on the fact that the fogs were on since getting the car from what I can imagine.

I bet there are other drivers out there that think the exact same….

It amazes me how many people must be driving on the roads that DON'T know how to use basic functions on the car or when they should use them, nuisance on the roads at best tbh.

It's because they are morons. It used to be because people thought it was cool but there are far too many people in normal cars doing it now, women in MPV's, even van drivers.

IT IS DARK. I MUST TURN ALL MY LIGHTS ON.

Braindead idiots.

Even better are the tards who think fogs give them better visability on country lanes even though you get an extra 2 metres of light and at 60mph anything additional they allow you to see you will crash into anyway..

Yeah, getting a bit sick of it now, but at least you can spot the idiots from a distance and know to give them plenty of room since they are special.

4x4/mpv with fog lights on behind is probably the worst, they might as well just put full beam on and attempt to blind me whilst im driving.

Still not as bad as the people who think side-lights are sufficient at night, or in torrential rain and poor visibility.
