is there a fall on those away from house, and what level will slabs intercept house relative to dpc.
slabs wont be near the house and yes there is a fall and they will be full of black chippings anyway
from kerbside delivery into the garden.....
All 7 slabs laid, sitting square and level with each other in front of the house. Black stone arriving monday, we getting close to the end now……
Built the framework for the right side fence today and made sure it was all securely bolted to the wall. Tomorrow will be putting the timbers up and then the dogs will be very secure in the front garden then.

Decided as part of the rebuild to bring the levels up on the alley way now too. So more hardcore ordered earlier, which is arriving on thusday. So a job for the weekend, bring it up to almost level height and then add the remainder of the blackstone. Then will rebuild the gate at the end of the alley that leads into the back garden.

Nah, prob a garden room with a dodgy single top plate, misaligned panel screws and zero roof anchors…….. just so i fit in.

Good job on the fence. Too many people cheap out on the fences with thin wood and no splash boards. Should last you a long time thatSo i have now topped off the fence with 8x2 on the left and 9x2 on the front fence and today i also built the right side of the fence and the gate…
Next job is to fence down the back of the bins, again double sided and agreement with the neighbours too….
Will then build the levels up with sleepers and hardcore, before adding the gravel grids for the path.
Thats all the slabs and stone done. Room in this area for an electric car in the future.

Making some good progress today
And thats the internal big fence completed
Its not been an easy renovation job, but yes i am feeling pretty good about how its turning out. My lower back may not agree though lol
Thats it for now….in the spring of 2025 i will fill it with soil and seed it over to make the nice lawn we want and plant the rose bush, so i can put my dogs ashes to rest. Its all nice and clean for winter and no mud and dirt to trape into the house.
