Fronting

i believe its now so common its more for you to proove its not, if you get caught living at university with the car whilst your parents live 100 miles away for example.

Interesting responses, haven't done anything by the way. But it is amusing to see the many replies about how its wrong to grass someone up for committing fraud, yet when someone posts on here saying they've fronted...

I know someone who is fronting, I'd never grass them up, but I wouldn't feel sorry for them if someone did or they were caught out.

giving somebody your opinion when asked for it on an internet forum and shopping somebody to the authorities are on completely different levels.

So if say the parent is the registered keeper of the vehicle and the main name on the insurance, with the kid as named driver, but the kid drives the vehicle the majority of the time. It would be almost impossible for an insurance company not to pay out on an accident on the basis of fronting.

I did this for about 5 years between 19 - 24 and had no problem making a claim, 2nd time we paid out for the damage as the excess was higher.
