Stuff the letter. What does your insurance policy actually say.
The letter pointed out sections in the policy that OK'd it

Who are you insured with. If what you're saying is true I think I need a word with them, then I can afford to run 'round in a E46 M3 brought entirely on finance innit blud![]()

Fronting is where the registered keeper (i.e. the V5 log book for the car) says Person A. But the car is insured with a main driver of Person B, with Person A as a named driver.
The insurer will spot it a mile away the moment you try to make a claim.
It doesn't matter what insurers say pre-sales. Fact is, during a claim they will use every little nugget to wriggle out of paying out. Or at least reducing the pay out.
So if say the parent is the registered keeper of the vehicle and the main name on the insurance, with the kid as named driver, but the kid drives the vehicle the majority of the time. It would be almost impossible for an insurance company not to pay out on an accident on the basis of fronting.

Funny thread, on the one hand there appears to be a majority with the opinion that Fronter's rights to anonimity should be respected, when on the other hand if a Fronter ever started a thread in Motors to say he'd lost everything due to this insurance dodging paying out due to his fronting activities, he would be pointed at and ridiculed like there was no tomorrow.
He asked them what would happen if his son was the policy holder/main driver, and he was found to be the main driver - they said there was no issue :/
As previously said.. wait till they have an accident..
That would be because there is no benefit to you doing this; the insurance company would be making money by taking a premium that protects against a risk that is not as great.

Tell you what... wait until they have an accident WITH YOU.
That's exactly how my wifes car is insured. V5 has my name on it, insurance policy is in my name but my wife is specified as the main driver. To date every insurance company I've been with have said that this is OK.
EDIT: I also have a policy on my car, with me as the owner and main driver and wife as a named driver, wonder if this makes a diff? to the above.
The word of the neighbours is hardly evidence though is it? How do the neighbours know who drives the car the most, do they sit there taking down statistics?
