Frosty's 780Ti X79 Overhaul

Scrap that, just purchased one :)

A couple of the tubes will be going behind the motherboard tray. I was against ever doing this really as it's a longer route, but it's more practical to do so as it gives more room up front when working on the GPUs, or in general. It's the 900Ds fault for having over an inch at the back to play with.

My far from elaborate simple bleed valve to come off the rad :)

Also ordered some Koolance quick disconnects for the EK GPU bridge. Seeing as I change graphics cards like I do pants, it makes sense to be able to remove them without having to flush. :)

I could put the 240 downstairs, I've been umming and arring about it, but have opted for front mounting :) I only have SSDs so the drive cages don't make much sense. I'll be mounting them somewhere neat, not decided where yet :)

That's what I've bought mate. Going to fit them to the EK bridge for easy removal of the GPUs. Well, that's what I've got in my mind currently. That might change lol

They do look nice :)

I'm having a mental block here. I'd need 2 female and 2 male in order to run off the EK bridge?

Nvmind, was having a paddy. Long day :D

The black ice 240 is the worst radiator I have ever had. The back mounting screws (short screws) are the wrong size, did a test try and they're almost double the length they should be. Lucky I've not damaged it. And the threads are ****e on the rad as well.

I thought they were supposed to be decent? I consider XSPC to be entry level in quality and I'd rate them twice as high as these.

Decided on mounting it at the bottom. Shall I mount another at the front? Lol.

As said there is minimal room at the base with a 480 in. The only way I can see it working is if you ran the 480 passive which is pants.

Ordered another 240mm for the front...:). Don't shoot me down, I just figure I might as well maximise rad space now rather than regretting it later :)

Pointless cheeky shot...

yeah, really not great. Plus magnetic locks will wear over time...

A lot of people quesitoned the quality of the Elysium, but this case is really not much better, in fact in some aspects it is worse. For the price you expect better.

Goto 27:40 to fit your 360 rad on your HDD cages if your tube runs allow :)

Cheers mate only just spotted this. Although I'll pass! That setup is a wee bit tight for my liking.

On that note also I've had the sudden realisation I should have probably opted for the angled Koolance QD3s. The bottom one is going to be coming out of the side of the EK bridge at some length. It's not a massive issue, but was trying to minimalism beny build syndrome.

Will do. All my kit is still currently in the Elysium so I've yet to put the full loop together. Am also waiting on the second 240 Black Ice.

Essentially it's Res / Pump > top 480 > CPU > GPU >bottom 480 > bottom 240 > front 240 > Res / Pump

In case it wasn't obvious what my intention was in the above pic, the second PSU slot is where the drain valve is. It is the single lowest point in the loop. So just a case of unscrewing the PSU cover and putting a cone under it to flow into my dedicated flush pot. Technical term there. It's crude but effective.
