Frozen Synapse

I'm getting into this quite a lot in SP (despite difficulty spikes depending how the random maps turn out!) and would be up for a few MP games, username is ricky1981 and I am on UK1 (no New Zealand option!). I'm pretty terrible so new players preferred but happy to be a whipping boy so I can learn from my mistakes as well.

Certainly worth buying for anyone who might be sitting on the fence. My only wish is for a proper 2D view, the 3D can actually be quite misleading in terms of line of sight.

If anyone has a free copy to give away I wouldn't mind trying this, not sure how I check my Steam to see if I have anything to gift in return?

Yeah charge is a bit weird, although perfectly doable. I have only played one game and that was with all MG's on my side (attacker) and rocket, MG, grenadier opposite side. The thing is, as long as they only have one MG, against two of yours it's pretty easy to take him out, then the game is simple as long as you stay away from cover and move every turn.

I don't know what load outs are possible on either side though, any ideas?

LOS is pretty easy to determine using 'v', this brings up a line from any position on waypoints you set for you or your opponent which will show you exactly whether you can see through a gap or edge of a door etc. I only wish I knew of a way to do this through certain walls you are planning / expecting to blow up during the turn, too many times I have had to get the ruler out..

Also it would be nice if you could do this part way through a simulation, however as soon as you click a unit / waypoint it resets to the beginning of the turn.

Get this posted on the developer's suggestions thread on their forums:

They are really keen to get feedback/suggestions from players!

Does anyone want to go halves, I'll buy the game and fire over the free copy for half the RRP?

it would be nice if you could scrub through the turn timer also, would make timing attacks a lot easier, there's probably some fundamental reason why you cant at the moment though.

Introduced this to my boss the other day, had his first MP game and kicked ass, but score still shows 0-0. Anyone know why this would be?

I am yet to touch the MP side as still going through the SP campaign.

I had a quick game before going out today, was in a rush and didn't plan as much as I usually do. The game punished me instantly with the death of two my my three men in the first turn, and my final man in the first second of the second turn.

Don't rush this game.

To be fair this happens to me often even after 10 minutes of planning... Leaves you thinking how did i not plan for him to do that!!??! :D
