Fuel price discussion thread (was ‘chaos’)

Does this mean Im gonna have to stop driving like I stole it everywhere haha :p

Even I've stopped driving fast now.

I've gone from 350-380 a tank to 520-550 a tank, so big difference.

Man it's dull though.......

But I been driving fast for so many years I feel I've got it out of my system, maybe I'm just getting older and more sensible finally?

I still have my motorcycle I guess.

Got my new S5 last weekend, burned through £50 of fuel in 24 hours, averaging 22 MPG, so then I drive like miss daisy as I had some more driving to do and didn’t want to fill up again. Ultimately managed 41 MPG in it which is pretty good for a V6.

Currently in Spain and Diesel is 1.93+ a litre. Filled up at a station which was 2.05 on the way.

Diesel is creeping up again looks like, 181.9 at the minute.

A few pennies more and it will be cheaper to get the train for a return journey, or I just have to not come home as regular. Currently spending nearly 350 a month on fuel, up from 240ish only 6month ago I think.

Or I can just get another job, or get electric apparently? :)
Diesel around here has not dropped below 181.9 for several weeks...creeping up higher now.

Petrol is around 167.9-169.9. The price adder for premium has lately increased from ~8-10ppl to +15ppl :(

Paid £1.96 a litre for V power this morning. Had just over quarter of a tank, put £95 in and it was at 7/8th of a tank.

I was seeing 183.9 for E10 at some places yesterday when trekking into deepest Cheshire. Cheapest I saw was a single pump station in a small village at 175.9. Guessing they've not restocked recently!

Petrol hit £1.73 a litre in Elgin yesterday and on average it's increased 2-3 pence per litre per week over the last three weeks. The filling station in our village has run out of petrol and will not have any until sometime on Monday. This is getting ridiculous now.

Been to costco to fuel up, busy as per usual but "only" 177.9, regular garage is now 185...

I am sure it was 181 2 days ago. Does anyone have any further knowledge on this? What happened to that 5p reduction a few weeks back? Think I got the benefit of that for a week.

Don’t recall any of the garages near me ever dropping prices

Filled my Peugeot Boxer up last night after a drive to Wales and back for a big bike rally/race as was splitting fuel with mate. We used a full tank, £172 to fill it up :( It doesn't seem that long ago I could fill it up from empty for £110

Had a very weird situation yesterday. Went to a fuel station listed as 1.83, filled up and the stated price per litre was 1.63

Sure enough, when I calculated it, the price was indeed 1.63

Not entirely sure why it happened but I’ll definitely be going back :p
