It's great owning a petrol car again, fuel is way cheaper now. I used Morrisons yesterday, £102.7p per litre unleaded. For £35 I get more litres in the tank than I did for £40 with my previous diesel car.

Most prices seem to have levelled out at just over £1 per litre. I paid £1.03.7 at an Asda on Friday. The big local Shell station is still ripping people off at £1.17.9 and is still as busy as ever.

i go past 1 petrol station on the way to work and back

114.9

im being ripped off, but no point driving miles to get it for a lot less, waste of fuel and money
On a full tank, for most cars around 50-55 litres, a full tank of, say, 48 litres, and a price elsewhere of 103.9, for ease of maths, 104, 10p per litre. £4.80 more. Reckon you’d have to drive more than 10-15 miles there and back to make it not worthwhile. Unless you’re very rural I doubt there isn’t a cheaper place for you. Your current place is taking advantage of being on a main road on a lot of people’s regular route or commute.

About 1.16 for diesel where I live, that’s my local shell station. Usually they charge around 1.30. But a few miles up the road another shell is doing 1.10 for diesel. Unlike my local who have no competition, the other one has a BP station and texaco quite close to it.

been filling up at 114.9

today went shopping in a "BIG" store
popped to the local one, 105.9, put 45L in ! :)

Petrol not diesel
114.9 must be either a Shell or a BP. They always seem to hold prices for longest. Be careful your engine doesn't coke up and clog and destroy itself though, that Supermarket petrol is apparently engine suicide by being cheap. ;)

Still about £1 / litre ($1.95 for 91, $2.15 for 95/98) here in NZ :( How is Oz so much cheaper lol?

Fuel duty will be at least part of it.

Fuel duty in New Zealand is 73.784 cents/litre (about 36 pence).

Fuel duty in Australia is 42.3 cents/litre (about 22 pence or 45 New Zealand cents).

Just filled up my car with Costco premium diesel at lakeside.
1.06 a litre, cheaper than shell and others. Thought it was just normal diesel but saw they only had premium. Not sure if it’s any better than shell etc.
