Fuji X Series

My past experience with recipes on Fuji’s is that they weren’t really recognised as such. For example on custom presets you couldn’t change the white balance, that was global. It looks like Fuji is actually allowing these to be setup as recipes now and giving you all the options per custom recipe.
I can customise the white balance for each C1-C4 preset on my camera :confused:

Found a like new X100V locally for £1000, which I’m quite tempted by. Watch this space…

I found a X100VI used in black for £1499...
Ended up getting it, and very happy indeed. It’s been so long since I’ve used such a compact camera, it’s lovely. Really enjoying the colour profiles, I really think I won’t spend much time editing now, and the transfer to my phone feature is brilliant!

I have entered the 21st century :D

I don't know why but may be because of the way the on/off button on the XS-10 is more contoured to the camera and more flat, 50% of the time I forget to turn it off. I came back to a flat battery twice in the past month.

Just picked up mine and it looked like this:

I always forget to turn it off, but the auto power off saves me every time. I have it set to 2 mins. Can be wakened with a press of the shutter button.

Spanner setup menu -> Power Management -> Auto Power Off. Can be set OFF / 15 sec / 30 sec / 1 min / 2 min / 5 min

Starting to get excited for the X-E5. Hopefully I get one as ordered it the day after it was announced. Otherwise will probably cancel it as need a second camera to shoot friends wedding in September and the official Fujifilm hire place doesn’t have anything available that month due to an event.

Does anyone else know where I could hire something like an X-T5 for one weekend? I guess I could buy a second hand one and sell it again after. It doesn’t really matter what camera it is my sole reason for X-T5 would be the dual card slot as a safety precaution.

I’m not as excited as I ought to be. I put my pre-order within an hour of the launch however at the time I was more interested in the lens than the camera but I also thought I might as well get my place in the queue early.
It looks a great little camera that’s for sure, my issue is I’m not sure I can justify having it as well as my X-T5 which is pretty much my do it all camera anyway.
I have a trip to Copenhagen coming up in the autumn and I’m thinking I’ll keep the X-e5 for that and then reassess afterwards.

WEX hire out X-T5’s for £65 per day. Usually if you time it for a Friday then you get the full weekend for that price.
