Full Auto - Played

Bought it on sunday 19th.
I've only managed to play and complete the A,B,C career bits over the past 2 days. I really like the game tbh, it reminds me of the old 8bit carnage race games like Death Rally and Roadblasters.

Breezing through it atm, and am currently working my way through the latter stages of career mode. The handling isn't exactly special but then again it's not meant to be, for mindless violence and fun this is the way to go! Gotten sick of PGR3's flawless AI anyway.

Just rented this and getting totally owned on the final tutorial course

S'pose it's fun enough in a mindless carnage kind of way but the AI is just too good for me. I can only last about 5 seconds in first place before getting my butt torpedoed.

7/10 so far. If I get better at it the score may rise. I'll give it a week before sending it back.

Two options imo: Fishtail like crazy, relasing a mine, or grenades at the right time. Or, pull hard on the brakes, let him pass, then blow the crap out of him :D (my personal fav, although people have got wise to it online).

Online the secret is to take it slowish until the first corner, when the pack slam into the side, let your guns rip! You should get a kill or 2 since everyone is shooting everyone else in this pileup, then drive past them like a bat out of hell - and stay in front. If anyone tails you, make sure to fishtail until they're to the side, or ahead of you, then blow em away. If you're dying more than twice in a short-medium race you don't have much chance of getting first place, so fall back and blow as many cars up as possible to increase your points.

I need to play online more often, my score is sucking :(

The only level I thought was a real challenge was the one that requires you to kill 4 baddies, with the shotgun, in about 1min 30secs and in the canyon run.
I was ready to give up at that point. Must have taken 20+ attempts.

I went back to Gotham the other day... After a week of only playing FA... It wasn't pretty ;)

Yeah, it's the only level in the entire game where I had to use the directional control to win it.

Even then I just kept 'nudging' the stick down so the crosshair went down, went right up the cars backside and as the crosshair slowly moved up, just kept firing. Managed to get all 4 cars blasted out of the way within about 45secs.

Hmm I'm about to start on the Rampages bit of the career. I don't like shotguns either :/

YEAH!!!!!!

100% complete :D

Good game, really good game. Not THE game of the year, but have spent 11hrs 56mins on it and enjoyed every bit. Definately one to smile about and have a laugh with. Even if some tool goes round the track the wrong way, you can still machine-gun to pieces and not get angry.

Thanks Full Auto, you've been fun.

What about online play though? Surely it's not goodbye aleady?
If it is though - I'll take it off your hands ...

No the online play will keep me occupied for a good while yet, get a shed load of work and a **** of a boss at the moment, so I pretend he's in the car in front!

As for after the sale, already taken care of I'm afraid.

Just picked this up from Tesco; darn place, only went in for some washing tablets.

At first I thought it omg, graphics are poor, handling is poor, what have I done.

1 hour in and I love it; what a laugh. Handling isn't so bad; but it's not meant to be another PGR; graphics are adequate and I can put up with the odd stutter.

It's about the game though, and boy it's addictive; in fact what am I doing on here... got to get back.

If anyone still runs the odd lobby add me to your friends :) I'm away all weekend but would sure like some online games next week :)

Does anyone else's box say "Not for resale in the UK" on it (back, near the online region flags)?

Got to say, loving this game so far.

Where abouts? I can't see any region flags.

I think.. think.. you might of picked up the promotional copy. But I also don't think so because it's normally in very big letters.

The guy behind the counter reckoned it was a german copy...it works in my 360 and I'm unlikely to ever take it online (although the GB flag is shown as playable) so I'm not sure I care...its above the SEGA logo in the bottom right corner on the back.

Still loving the game, the career mode just goes on and on! When I finish one bit of career, it unlocks another 2-3 bits! Not had a chance to play it online due to time/work constraints but what a fun game!
