Our border rules are a joke, but you're comparing the UK to countries that are corrupt in every sense of the word and drug/prostituion/diamond/religious related killings are rife. You can't exactly say "these countries have great border laws! - but I don't like the way the rest of the country is run"

I am also not 100% English so you can get off your high horse.

My previous example was 1 example. Just because it included a muslim reference doesn't mean I am saying all illiegal muslims. I am saying I don't like the way some immigrants especially the illegals ones force their views on me/us. Yes, we have our own British versions of this, it isn't a perfect world.
 
I'd have hoped the % of you that wasn't English might be a little more tolerant then!

There are crackpot crazies from every nation and religion - if you can convincingly give a reason why it is the illegal ones especially causing such evangelistic grief, then I might understand...

Because you have a parent who is English? It seems mis leading to claim you're an immigrant, again just my veiw on it.

Also if your half Arabian but your parent(s) are English I fail to see how that makes you an immigrant.

It annoys me that illegal immigrants come here to get away from whatever it is they are running from to get a better life and then complain about the people in this country (legally) and the values etc it holds. We do get this from all those other crackpot crazies who we let in already.

Once again, you're simply talking rubbish. I find it INCREDIBLY hard to believe that immigrants that have escaped warzones like Afghanistan come over here and complain. You just sound like you've got a chip on your shoulder in regards to immigrants, probably stemming from a story you once read/heard, about a group of them who have cursed our soldiers or said "death to all that don't believe in Allah", so in your mind, you've associated ALL immigrants with being hateful morons.

But, i do agree, refugee's/asylum seekers should not be flocking to this country, as we can see they are. I thought the rules were that you had to go to the nearest safe country?
 
anticonscience - I may have been stretching the term a bit, but an immigrant is "a person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there" which is definitely true of me.

Most immigrants benefit the country - and tbh we need more people working in this country in the coming years to help bump the taxes/pension coffers that will pay for the baby-boomers as they all start retiring.

Illegal immigrants aren't really that big an issue - in fact as stated earlier, most of them are shoved into detention centres and held indefinitely while a reason is looked for to send them back.

And now you are talking rubbish. Never said all. I have merely voiced my dislike about a few. I have only given examples. It is people like you that are generalising. Someone says something about illegal immigrants and you come to the rescue!!!! Does it give you a warm fuzzy feeling?

I'm going to have to stop you there. "Most" illegal immigrants are not held in detention centers. I would hazard a guess that a very very small percentage are. Then there is the cost of sending them back™ - thousands and thousands of pounds for each one.

The thing that makes this country so attractive to all immigrants needs to be taken away/scaled back.

This is the point though, who are these examples? How do you know they are /illegal/?
 
I've come across cases where people confuse illegal immigrants with immigrants.

Illegal immigrants: people who come to this country illegally to find work
Immigrants: people who come to this country to find work, legally, mostly beneficial to the economy

Lots of people can't afford a house, it doesn't mean your entiltled to one, I had to rent for years until I saved up enough to get my own house.
