Fury X Vs Titan X - Performance compared

Just an idea but could it be because it's an AMD title ?

Genuinely curious about this.

Well i guess it could be but why? tho its not just BF4, yet it does seem to be the worst affected, PCars, Dirt... is subtle, you can only really see it with them side by side.
BF4, well, to me with a 290 it looks like i have a mixture of High and Medium settings, missing objects, Detail and Decal layers completely missing, much lower Draw Distance, low multisampling.

Its not that, it seems Nvidia Drivers reduce the Image Quality settings, BF4 seems to be the prime example of it, you can set Ultra in BF4 but the Nvidia CP over rides it without you knowing about it and runs IQ setting that look more like High or even Medium.

Yet theres there's loads of people on that very thread showing otherwise, who haven't touched anything in NVCP. On my 980ti ultra looks like ultra and there's no issue with anisotropic filtering. All NVCP settings are completely default.

How is this case?

I am betting it is something my end. others are clearly not having the same problem, so deffo points at user issues.

yet again nice work gregg, but all these posts have me wanting to buy a fury x, not for the performance but theres something so damb intresting about it i just want to play about with one

Cheers bud and they are good cards.

I have just done a Batman comparison at 1440P and the results are very surprising. Just encoding it and will upload it straight away.

An fps comparison between the 2 cards with the 'correct' NVCP settings applied would be nice. Does the Fury still lag behind or is the gap closed a bit. A 3 way video with the 2 TitanX settings and the FuryX is an idea.

Maybe you should follow your own advice as a few of us have posted pics that look nothing like gregsters.

Nice reviews BTW.

What has happened to the detail in the water on the Fury X side of Gregsters video ?

AMD shenanigans? :D:p

DXTory is a fantastic program for recording and great quality but needs to record to a SSD as the files are huge.

Edit:

Just paid close attention and the water is deffo 10x better on the TX - Something is deffo up with the water quality on AMD (watch from 1:32 and look at the water).

Right, switched back to the Avermedia Cap card, as the files are just too damned big with DXtory and it bugged out so much it was really winding me up. A shame, as the quality was better with DXtory and the performance hit wasn't bad + I could record 1440P at 60fps but such a ballache to get going and kept crashing out in games as well as crashing Sony Vegas :(

Anyways, 3 more coming up this evening. Shadow of Mordor - Alien Isolation and The Witcher 3. All recorded with the capture card :)

I am thinking about a dedicated AMD gfx rig.

Why not...

Awesome stuff Greg good job bud;)

Could i ask what settings you were using on Witcher 3 please? currently playing through it and loving it so far.

Game is maxed out @1440p minus Hairworks and Fps seems to same around 55-65 with lows to 45.
