GAME - Fantasy Football World Cup 2006 - OcUK Mini League

I'm going to smack my brother. He picked my team and put in the Costa Rica manager Alexandre Guimaraes, defender Michael Umana and German keeper Jens Lehmann.

I stand to loose loads of points if Costa Rica loose and more due to Lehmann's poor keeping :( .
 
I had 8 players playing today including Delgado. Don't know why some people didn't have any as you get 3 subs per day. Already put 3 players in for tomorrow and will probably do a couple more in the morning.

I was under the impression that you can only make 3 transfers during the whole tournament? I haven't read anywhere that you can make 3 changes a day. Can anyone else confirm this please? :)

Well it's 3 per day until the knockout stages. From Game directly:

Transfers

Group stages:
Each team will receive 3 transfers every day during the group stages of the competition (9th June - 23rd June 2006). Transfers will be allocated at 00.01 BST each day and should be used to make changes to your team during that day. Any unused transfers may not be carried over to the next day and will subsequently be lost.

Round of Sixteen:
Each team will be allocated 5 transfers for the first round of knock-out matches (24th June - 27th June 2006). These 5 transfers should be used to cover all 8 matches in this round. Any unused transfers may not be carried over to the next round and will subsequently be lost.

Finals:
Each team will then be allocated 5 transfers for the final knock-out stages of the competition (30th June - 9th July 2006). These 5 transfers must cover the quarter, semi, 3rd place and World Cup final matches.

**** If I had knew this I would have more than 3 points right now! Ahh well at least I know now. :) Cheers for clearing that up.

edit- read the rules and its correct, thats pure madness, this site never worked like this before, 3 subs in the group stages would be sensible, not 3 each day

That's a joke. It basically means change your entire team every day so that it contains the biggest goal threats from the teams playing that day and the keepers unlikely to concede :(
 
Stupid rule about the transfers

Klose bagged me 10 points today well done son. You will now be transferd until Germany play again.

Klose, Adriano and Kaka all out.

Crouch, Drogba and Gerrard all in
