To be serious, you need to know about everything going on in the current world of gaming. Not just 360 or PC or whatever. Especially when it's a game made by the original creators of Final Fantasy.

I cannot agree to that. The market is too big to know about everything. No matter how hard you try something great always slips by and keeping up with all the rubbish average games is impossible, so is keeping with little to zero marketed games. No one person knows everything to do with games or knows about every single game. So if I follow your logic there are zero serious gamers in the world.

Plus as it’s been said you can be a serious gamer who doesn’t like and play some sub types of games.

EDIT: In the 90's and before I could agree to what you said. But not in todays age of games.

No it isn't. There's like one high profile title released every fortnight. That's not too much to keep track of.

It's a game which is Directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi and has music written by Nobuo Uematsu. It's a big deal considering those people worked on the best of the Final Fantasy series. The game is even an allusion to Final Fantasy in its title.
