Nah it was awful response.
  • How could you claim the naming thing for instance, they are tabbed on the same product page to flick back and forth, clearly designed to look like you get the same thing. If they wanted Flex to be distinguished it would just be own page with own options.
  • The price increase from what people have said was never given ahead of time like in video (looking at people showing on other forums at least in US etc). Also to note the subscription went up twice for Steve alone so they can't both be factual that it was only a law change that caused one price increase when it has been at least twice as shown in video and after the first month, come on now.
  • The whole it isn't fixed spec is rubbish at that was never on the site at all and gave specific specs only so that straight up lie
  • The excuse about the advertisement is just awful. It never should have been allowed to be published as they would have/should have approved every advert for the program. They pulled them down after being caught out a year later!
  • The age thing saying you can't rent if not 18 but giving no security checks means that isn't the case that was happening to date. And it is clearly marketing at a younger audience
  • "people enjoyed the service"
  • The legal language for the data was we do sell it and we own it, so saying "we wipe it" but it being true, yeah sorry no chance. Just don't trust considering the other lies!
  • Didn't cover the magic price increase to cover the "free" $400 bundle for Black Friday which clearly is a lie as they adjusted to make sure you recoup
  • Nothing about the bad contract, legal terms etc for trying to even return the produce in original packaging etc
This is not a good video with clear direction on what went wrong etc. It is a damage control video done fast and loose to try and skirt around all the issues above that were not addressed or lied in response as per the factual evidence we have seen already.

  • Oh also if not meant to be same product on two tabs why same performance number graphs and such on every tab etc. That isn't a mistake and one missed, that is also intentional
  • As noted in Steves video, what the hell does lifetime warranty mean. It madness as well. It doesn't make sense and clearly copy/paste principles.
  • The whole if you don't spot we overchated in 60days when average on law in US at least is 3yrs clearly shows the issue there without needing to say anything more.
And none of the above is even about the ridiculous overpriced setup when they are clearly aiming at min 2yrs and even on bad credit or illegal credit you would be better off which is still madness! But at least that is a choice that is visible. At same time people saying they should know better, there is a reason there as so many payday loan companies and huge numbers and why the law has changed so much cause of them. People are idiots too.

As evidenced by the various examples provided of system specs changing very frequently even for the same model, with the only difference being whether it's a purchase or a rental, meanwhile the quoted performance figures stay exactly the same which is impossible. It's misleading, I'm unsure why anyone would think that's okay.

Honestly I can’t watch anymore of this guys videos. It’s beyond embarrassing. The quality and originality of his channel has nose dived.

At least GN are doing the heavy lifting. Jay is literally jumping on the bandwagon.

I hope GN call him out because that would be really awkward.
 
In his last vid he was telling people to move on when he was being called out. I said that he would not have made any video if GN didn't come out with this....his response was "shall I thank Steve? I called him earlier..." I'm sure you did.....Lol prat

Steve says he's making another video about NZXT due to their poor response as well as adding additional info he's come across dealing with other shady practices of NZXT

That Jay video is embarrassing
 
I find Gamers Nexus a bit preachy at times. Maybe im just a cynic, but there is definitely a market around youtuber drama and 'im boycotting x company'. Then again maybe im just an LTT fanboy who thinks his Linus contravery was overblown

Does appear to have caught a real issue this time though

I'd agree to a slight extent, but their work ultimately benefits the consumer and they were also right about LTT (another knob).

Jay is just a massive whopper jumping on this for clicks, he's so thick it's untrue.

Agree, he maybe well regarded in the community but the recent trend to beef others at every opportunity is a little off putting. I also a sense to tabloid-ish and self righteousness in his reporting.

I respect GN’s scientific approach to testing hardware, and I use their testing graphs all the time. But not really a fan of his 30min reading graph videos.

On the contrary, I think he should keep doing this kind of videos, it brings this stuff into the light and it is appreciated. No point in have another Linus channel, a variety is always nice.

Gamers nexus is faux, he isn't smart at all

Every intricate piece he does requires external person to check because he's just a nerdy whiny metal head that's so far up his butt with pc master race and knows no more then you or me.

Gerald undone did a studio tour for GN and Steve was terrible and his opinion even on why he records in 60fps was dumb AF. He doesn't know what he's doing, he just has more free time then you and me.
 
It's not a channel I watch much (I don't pay a great deal of attention to hardware comparisons except when I'm planning a build) but I didn't realise so many had strong negative feelings against JayzTwoCents. Always found him quite likeable when he has been in LTT videos

JayzTwoCents was pretty good when I started watching him in the mid 2010, silly dad jokes and playing an idiot character. But not much has changed except a bit over with the sexual innuendos. I take his content as entertainment and easy to consume material, like LTT, they are more the type of videos I watch.

To me GN only come into my radar cos of these ‘drama’ vids.

What do you think he suppose to do, break down the agreement which means investigating all parties involved in said product that provides it, which all that means that GN got it wrong and his Lawyer got it wrong.

Will we see GN do a expose on his own channel now.
