Gamers plan digital sit-in for Half-Life 3 details

Just let them get on with it and develop the frikkin game. We all know they take ages and we all know they create something amazing every time.

Stop throwing toys out of the pram because a product that is a luxury, not a right, isn't being paraded around in the fashion they wish.

This.... A MILLION TIMES.

What on earth has my GPU got to do with these sad people. I take it you are one of them?

I think he's referring to you having a computer set up for gaming and being completely ignorant to the fact that essentially what people are doing is playing a game that they like... its really not hard to understand.

Ah you must be one of the hl3 beggars as well. Enjoy your little hl2 setup :)

I don't see why you're still talking when this pretty much owned you:
Need to find better things to do? You are commenting on a hardware forum about a game at 1:10am, nothing constructive, just the general "my hobby is more important than your hobby" lines, really, I mean really, can you not see how hypocritical this whole situation is?

Yes his "constructive" post at 1:11am totally owned me  Hence why it was ignored, I did not have to add anything to him.

His post time is irrelevant, he was stating how you're no better than these "Sad people" when you're posting on here at 1:10am. You didn't reply because he made you look like a fool and the more you keep banging on about this the more foolish you will look.

When theyre ready to release info they will, theyre hardly gonna leave the story at the point it was and not eventually conclude it. Patience :)

How is this supposed to be a protest? I know we'lll play their old game 24/7 until they tell us about the new game, this is exactly what Valve want to build up publicity

I was referring to Half Life 2, not episodes. Whilst I enjoyed the episodes I think they can in no way compare to Half Life 2 or the first.

I know what you were referring to but the episodes still count as part of the story, its not like theres been no new content since the initial release of HL2 in 2004. Its coming up on 4 years since anything new was released to continue the story of Halflife.

Theyre obviously working on it, just a matter of when they choose to tell people about it, after what happened with Hl2 being leaked and delayed id imagine they want to wait so they can nail down a time frame for release to avoid the HL2 debacle again.

Wow what absolute ****ing nerds. Don't get me wrong I love the Half-Life series but this screams, single, lonely nerds which are possibly gender confused.

Again, two angry little people who have completely missed the point. This is not a protest, it's just a collective action to call Valve's attention to fans' hunger for information. I don't understand why people are being so vindictive about it

Nostalgia-flashmob. I see no harm in it. I'm sure there are plenty of people wishing to give Valve a friendly wave.

At least they're not bitching about it.

They're not intelligent enough to think logically about what is happening here. They see the word "protest" and draw these retarded conclusions. These people probably didn't even read the link, or look into it at all.

If you think what is happening here is "sad", then I'm assuming you have never played a video game ever in your life. If you have ever played a video game before and think this, then you're a massive hyprocite.

You clearly don't have a functioning brain, so I'm not going to reply to you after this. Have a nice day.

I'm not angry about it, I think it's pretty cool, but its all just to boost hype, and thus boost final sales when HL3 is finally released. Seems pointless to me, a game with the background of Half Life doesn't need media attention, it will sell on the name alone.

Just look at the COD series, Black Ops and MW3, sold like crazy, how much of that was down to the millions they spent on advertising, and how much was down to the fact it had COD written on the box?
