I had full intention of buying the new Fyne F500 (ex Tannoy engineers) as these are coaxial and downward firing bass ports so perfect for mid-field workstation use so i listened to them first and well they sounded very much like my KEF Q300, almost identical in fact although the bass of my Q300 hits lower.
I've never heard the F500, but I own the F502SP and the F502 that I upgraded from (still need to sell my F502's). The 502's have good bass, especially the SP version where the bass is a little more.
How many hours were on the F500s? The Fyne speakers take ages to run in - I don't say this lightly I almost returned my F502's at first, the same thing happened on my F502SP's but I was use to Fyne's by then and knew about the break in. They sound a little cold and thin sounding at first, over time they get warmth and sound more musical, there is video below covering Fyne break-in period.
