I am so pumped! The terrain you can buy these days is awesome so will be spending a lot of money on it! The new Escher preview model doesn't look as good as originals though! Does anyone know what scale they are using yet?

I wasn't impressed with the Escher either, the Goliath looked the part though.

Gutted I sold my gang a long, long time ago. It was the only game I really enjoyed (played 2ed and some 3ed). Hopefully it's as interesting and fun as the 1st iteration!

The scenery available is absolutely stunning now :)
The stuff they released with Shadow War is awesome for a necromunda type game, and so versatile (the shipping containers can be combined with the truck and crane, and the crane can be fitted to the walkways).

I'm lucky enough to play at a friends house and he's got a large garage devoted to models and ever increasing amounts of the scenery painted :) (we've got a load of scenery in our garage but barely any of it is assembled let alone painted).

I played underhive at Essen Spiel and its horrible. so bad, they've castrated and then shot the amazingness which was once necromunda.
The main rule book contains rules for Goliath and Escher gangs and that's it. and 70% is fluff from the previous Necromunda rule book.
It made me very sad.

Can you give detail on the above criticism?

The default box game doesn't appeal to me - it probably won't get played once - but the 3D version using the expansion does a great deal.

Garbage that’s it’s “tunnel” fighting first they’ll be doing that to earn more knowing everyone wants the multi level stuff as that’s necromunda.

I’ll still probably purchase it though.

I thought they had said that the rules for playing multilevel would be available in the box when it's released. Is that not happening anymore?

Edit - Taken from the Community site:

In Necromunda: Underhive, you’ll find everything you need to get started with Necromunda, with rules, terrain, two customisable multipart gangs and more. Meanwhile, when you’re ready to take your game to the next level, the Gang War expansion contains rules for playing on 3D terrain and running deep campaigns with 2 or more players, using skill trees, territory tables, an expanded gang armoury and everything else you may need to create your own turf wars.

So it does look like you will be able to play the multilevel game if that's what you prefer which is cool. From what I can tell the Gang Wars expansion book will be a separate purchase, not 100% sure but it seems to be the case.

I imagine rules for other gangs etc won't be too far behind, they know there are lots of people out there with old gangs from the previous version of the game, there is no way they will cut them off completely.

Not sure whether I'll take the plunge at this stage because I already have Goliath and Escher gangs and the tunnel fighting doesn't appeal at all! The new releases feel a bit cheaper that the old games (miniatures looks good though!) I will pop into my local shop at release and check it out
