Games you'd like to praise

^ Bargain at that price.

TheVoice - yep, I've played through that and really enjoyed it too but I really want the story in TNO to continue. I have no doubt that we'll be getting a sequel in time. :)

Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm. 32 v 32 multiplayer with maps based on actual battles that took place in the Pacific and Eastern Fronts during WW2. Realistic compared to the other multiplayer shooters out there, very rewarding when you work as a team with voice comms, very frustrating when you're on a team of idiots though. No killstreak rewards, perks, silly/unrealistic unlocks. It's a shame it isn't more popular. :)

Insurgency comes to mind for games im playing at the moment.

In a world full of fps games all about action, leveling and killstreaks, this one shines as going back to the basics and relying on a more realistic approach!

Really worth a look, think its from the minds behind cs? May be wrong

Child of Light, really surprised how much I like it.
Making History Calm and the Storm, proper Risk-like wargame for the general in me.

:)

Alien Isolation.

Pretty much a perfect game to me as I love the Alien movies (1,2 and 3 only)
The way the game captures the scifi horror of the movies is simply genius.
I didn't care that I died so many times and had to replay from the last save, this made me play the game slightly different each time making the game so tense and the encounters with the Alien different, sometimes harder, sometimes easier.

It's one of the few games that I became engrossed in and literally felt the feeling of terror and suspense when playing.

Terraria would get my praise sucked so much game play out of me on the multiple times I have played it. Oh and Dark Souls get's a mention too although first time i played it i gave up and never touched it for a few months.

Star Wars Galaxies. Made you feel like you were an ordinary citizen in the Star Wars universe.

XCOM Enemy Unknown / Enemy within was a pretty great game. Loads of re-playability imo. Shame 2 was delayed.

Aside from that other games already mentioned Witcher 3, Fallout etc. Still my most Wow moment in gaming was probably stepping out of that vault in FO3 for the first time.

To name only a few.
Carmageddon - The first pc game I ever bought and it was tones of fun and still is.
Unreal - my first fps on the pc, an epic single player with beautiful level design. Even now at 1080p this game is pleasing to the eye. (Flac cannon ftw)
Doom - the first fps game I played, this version was on the ps1. They never had the metal soundtrack on the ps1 version, it had a dark atmospheric soundtrack which made the game scarey especially with me being about 7/8 years old. **** me pants.
Wipeout 2097 - love this game, still stands the test of time now. And the awesome soundtrack shaped my musical tastes.

+1

Loved that game. One of the greats in level design.

Again, you took the words out of my mouth. Always has been my favourite version. Btw, if you haven't already, try out the Doom64 mod for PC. ;)

Well first game in ages I've brought at release full price (Almost at £32) is Fallout 4. It feels quite polished compared to FO3/NV and the only bad thing I have thought about it so far is the FPS drops when my card is only not even being used.

Running a 290X and reducing shadow distance made a massive difference for me, still drops in a few places but not many and not by much.

Sorry for going off topic, just thought that may help. If I need to praise a game I'm happy to heap praise on Witcher 3, just the best thing I've played in years.

Morrowind - PC
Minecraft - PC
Heart of Darkness - PS1
Fallout 3 - Xbox 360 & PC

Huge praise to all those games for sure, Heart of Darkness was fantastic for it's time and we still go back to play it now.
