Yeah Flamini deserves a ban, not Gattuso, someone showing passion after being ****ed off is fine, attempting to break someones leg is not
Gattuso should never have been booked either, if anything Pienar should have been
Attempting to break someones leg is a daft statement to make, almost as daft as Redknapp, who's upset about the tackle because, according to him, its 2 to 3 feet off the ground.
Yeah, sure he made contact somewhere around the hip.
It was two footed, but he slid a LONG way, it was easily avoidable by Corluka and the actual contact comes from Corluka swinging his leg at the ball, missing(because Flamini does get it) and kicking Flamini's studs which are, inches, if that, off the ground.
Its a dangerous tackle because he went in, legs locked, with way to much force/momentum, but if he does that one footed most people wouldn't have batted an eyelid. LIke I said, if he went in standing, got the ball and Corluka's follow through kicked Flamini's studs, same injury, not even a foul.
As for time wasting, its a harsh call, Corluka was obviously injured but he was off the pitch and then after 2-3 minutes puts half a leg back on the pitch, it was actually I think the medical staff who did it to make time for the sub, it was time wasting, anytime anyone injured rolls back onto the pitch the other team gets angry about time wasting.
Flamini should have seen red, the tackle is too dangerous and the more often you see those, even without intent, the more likely you are to accidentally do that and be a foot off the ground, the injury would/could have been shocking if he went through Corluka above the ankle or around the knee. You punish those tackles so people don't risk doing it, so they don't accidentally do much worse ones.
