Gauntlet 2009 Joiners Thread!

Actually, I just noticed that the server status shows 'Disabled' rather than 'Not Running'. The distinction is supposedly that Disabled is deliberate (i.e. by staff action). I can't vouch for its accuracy however.

Things look like they are improving across the pond.:)

Hopefully it'll all be back to normal (whatever that is!) by tomorrow.

Either way, this outage is killin me......

Only got a measly 10k credit today :(

Got nearly 500 completed tasks to report and no CUDA work to crunch thro'

They will all hopefully get reported tomorrow an we are 20k closer to fourth place even with the outage :)

Strangely enough my machine at home has been able to upload all the results so far but my box at work is struggling to do so, cache is still OK so both will be working away.

Spent most of the day at work which was fortunate as we had a power cut. I spent half an hour getting the generator out and the server and phones running but couldn't turn on the cruncher at work until the power came back on about an hour later.

Cheers, Simon.

Hope I'm wrong, but the fallout looks serious. It's not immediately obvious but one of the DB servers is still offline. Whether it died or whether that's a consequence of the outage, I don't know, but if it's the former then don't expect work imminently.

Sweet :)

One of mine has run dry, but the rest seem to have got enough work to keep them going until tomorrow. No idea why that one failed to get new work.

Uploads broken, no work available, and the SETI@home website is inaccessible.:(

I'm rescheduling some of my CPU work to the GPU's to keep them busy.

That means I'll run out of work quicker, but it also means I'll be ready to fill up again as soon as everything is fixed.;)

How would I get hold of that? I can't download it from the Lunatics site unless I register...

Also, does it work in XP now? I heard mention of some sort of Perl thingy being required before using it

They're really not having a good time of it this weekend, are they? Main data server crashed yesterday. Main website crashed today. I pity the guys trying to repair the damage tomorrow.
