Gauntlet 2009 Joiners Thread!

Those guys are flippin' geniuses. :D It must be a hell of a lash-up job, what with all the various bits of donated hardware.

I don't know how they do it. But I'm really glad they can!!

Keep an eye on the projects tab and click 'Update' if you think it's taking too long between retries. It'll get there sooner or later, but don't let it do the 'deferred for three hours' trick BOINC sometimes does.

I'm getting GPU but not CPU on my main machine. Wierd

Still nothing here...............................................................................

Checks again 2mins later and......................

I got cpu work coming :)

At the very least I can now shift it to the GPU's

;) ;)

My machines are happy again this morning - never ran out of CPU units with my 5 day buffer but the cuda ones dried up yesterday PM. Now have plenty of the later again.

When I checked this morning my main rig had 1 GPU unit lol, and no jobs were available. The dual core had enough work. Fingers crossed for things back to normal today.

Main rig is fine, que fully filled again - quad has uploaded but no new units -
Message from server: (project has no jobs available)
looks like everone upped there buffers to 10 days - and now there is nothing left :(

Add to that virgin server is down so no internet at home.
Sorted out the cooling - bonic launched, said passwords didn't match then deleated 3 days worth of WU's - not happy

Fingers crossed for no further troubles, both of my machines came close to running out but held on.

Big uploads from both last night and they are steadily building up their caches again today which should see them through the scheduled outage OK.

Haven't seen any stats updates via Boincstats or for the Gauntlet site yet :(

Cheers, Simon.

I don't think I'll see that again for a while........

Just checked boinc and it has dumped over 90k credit on me :)

My previous highest was 23k lol

Went down about 7PM, so three hours from then is 10PM, and four hours is 11PM, but they're dealing with the spoils of an outage too.

PS - I may have stated times, but I didn't state what timezone they were in. This is the tradition at Berkeley - they didn't get the nickname borkley for nothing. :p

I still have several hundred WU available for my CPU, so I'll have to convert most of them to the GPUs, since I have about 20 GPU WUs.
