Gay Pride

So many terms get made up it's hard to keep track - to the point that I tend not to bother (woke, gammon etc).

Why is it racist? Genuine question, not baiting or anything

It is and can only be used as an insult against "white" people. It's specifically for "white" people who are too uppity to stay in the place the ideology assigns to the crackers. Yes, it's that racist. Although it can be extended to apply to all "white" people who are the "too old" and who aren't sufficiently obedient to the ideology, it's always specific to "white" people.

I found it hard in work when a gay lad started in our female dominated dept lol,
Here in Glasgow it's common for guys to say something is "gay" and when you're talking to other guys just having a guy chat and the gay lad over hears, it's a bit awkward lol.

No it’s not. When you are using it as you are then it’s simply a term used by idiots who should know better.

Don’t tar the decent people of the city with degenerates like yourself.

You guys are arguing about the wrong thing

Being proud of what you *ARE* is entirely the wrong way to think about things.

You should be proud that you achieved something, passed your test, got a job, got a placing in a competition of some kind. It does not matter how big or small the achievement is, you can be proud of it.

If companies care or not, is completely irrelevant. Some employee's will care, some wont, these are huge companies after all.

Its moved on now, just a general term for those unpleasant righties who rage at everything they hate.

No, it isn't. No more than the similarly colour-specific racist insult for "black" people is a general term for those unpleasant criminals who deal drugs and suchlike.

Whilst I'm not a supporter of it, largely for the reasons you list above I do get Pride. Its a way for people who have, in recent history, and continue to be worldwide celebrate and express what they are without fear. Something they shouldn't feel the need to do but that they rightly can.

Yeah...you're totally missing the point.
I invite you to make your point, although i suspect you won't because even after having it spelled out to you what someone actually cares about it's still not sunken in.

What is it that i, supposedly, care about in you opinion?

Then i am not explaining myself. You cannot be proud of what you are, i am not gay, so i cannot relate, i am not black or whatever, all of those things only cause more division.

Be proud about something you did, not what you are, then everyone can relate and take part, then you are no longer gay, or black, you are just another person.

People call me a psychopath but nobody can work out this simple thing it seems.

Speaking hyper critically is your sexuality something to be proud of?

Whether you are gay or straight is it something that should automatically be shared with other people?

It just is what it is, neither is good/better/worse than another so what's to celebrate?

You are off your **** when it comes to talking about these kind of things.

It’s got nothing to do with ideology…

It’s because the kind of over weight flag shaggers that drink too much in the sun then go out and rage about nonsensical things look like large pieces of gammon. It’s that’s simple. Very much like a Karen.

Ronnie Pickering for example.

The ending of chronic abuse, hatred and discrimination against gay people is something to be fought for and celebrated.

Has it ended? We are told it hasn't so are these celebrations immature?

I dont think they celebrated the end of ww2 until it was over, at least in Europe VE day for instance.

Is there still discrimination or has it now concluded?
