Its racist calling it racist, there could be black gammons.
Why is it racist? Genuine question, not baiting or anything

I found it hard in work when a gay lad started in our female dominated dept lol,
Here in Glasgow it's common for guys to say something is "gay" and when you're talking to other guys just having a guy chat and the gay lad over hears, it's a bit awkward lol.
No there couldn't. It refers to the ruddy pink skintone shared by the meat and some white people.
Its moved on now, just a general term for those unpleasant righties who rage at everything they hate.
You guys are arguing about the wrong thing
Being proud of what you *ARE* is entirely the wrong way to think about things.
You should be proud that you achieved something, passed your test, got a job, got a placing in a competition of some kind. It does not matter how big or small the achievement is, you can be proud of it.
If companies care or not, is completely irrelevant. Some employee's will care, some wont, these are huge companies after all.
I invite you to make your point, although i suspect you won't because even after having it spelled out to you what someone actually cares about it's still not sunken in.Yeah...you're totally missing the point.
Whilst I'm not a supporter of it, largely for the reasons you list above I do get Pride. Its a way for people who have, in recent history, and continue to be worldwide celebrate and express what they are without fear. Something they shouldn't feel the need to do but that they rightly can.
It is and can only be used as an insult against "white" people. It's specifically for "white" people who are too uppity to stay in the place the ideology assigns to the crackers. Yes, it's that racist. Although it can be extended to apply to all "white" people who are the "too old" and who aren't sufficiently obedient to the ideology, it's always specific to "white" people.
Speaking hyper critically is your sexuality something to be proud of?
Whether you are gay or straight is it something that should automatically be shared with other people?
It just is what it is, neither is good/better/worse than another so what's to celebrate?
The ending of chronic abuse, hatred and discrimination against gay people is something to be fought for and celebrated.
