Why are you so obsessed? Are you really that bothered by a new news channel. Shouldn't you just run back to your safety net news sources.
Well the morning segment is about how long you can take a knee for and it is making me uncomfortable that such pioneering broadcasting is happening. So, I was asking for a friend, a link to some good MSM news channels that are woke so that I could feel safe?

GB News lives rent free in your head it would seem.

Andrew Neil opens the channel with a monologue to camera saying that GB News won't be pushing false narratives.

An hour later Dan Wooton monologues to camera pushing false narratives about coronavirus.

Pick your poison. Or, you know, take in a selection and form your own opinions. :)
Bbb.b.bb.b.b..b....but the anti-woke say that the BBC is the wokist of the lot?! This website must be wrong.

To be fair they've really hit a nail in the market by essentially broadcasting Daily Mail/ reactionary news as the market was probably demanding far less words and self-navigation of content. This way they can just plug in and absorb all of the latest anti-woke agenda.

The BBC definitely have a certain contingent who seem to think student politics is journalism and they do have their failings, but I'm not sure I've seen anyone suggesting they are left of the Guardian or Socialist Worker?

You could probably break that graphic down further. I'd suggest BBC on the whole are slightly left of centre, with a large dose of metropolitan bias.

Just tuned in....did they set up their studio in a dimly lit Ikea?
tbf this 'taking the knee' stuff they have going on at the moment seems pretty balanced...so not exactly a Fox News wannabe it seems (for now).

It is Monday morning though. Not exactly prime time television, is it?

Although ITV are talking about Harvey and Katie Price so that's MSM for you...

I mustn't be the demographic for these things. It isn't news, it is just chaps reacting to topics and sharing their personal opinion. What would I do with this info? I agree the police should be avoiding any involvement in any divisive politically sourced and bred topic (BLM, MAGA, Thin Blue Line etc.) but I don't need someone else to tell me that

The Katie Price/Harvey thing (on ITV) was way more interesting tbh.

I haven't tuned in yet, I used to like Neil on This Week, but I'm not really a fan of news channels as they are depressing and divisive (just look at this thread). What is amusing though, is so many people like dLockers on Twitter are making the channel constantly trend, thus giving it priceless marketing and exposure. Someone with FBPE in their Twitter handle isn't going to change the mind of the type of viewer GB News is going for.

So much fragility in one thread. And it's the woke who are quick to be offended :p

Literally sums up my father. Right wing 60+ white guy. Terrified everyone else will impinge on his freedoms with their variable sexualities, non-binary genders, freedom of movement etc. All entirely unrelated to him or his lifestyle. He seems concerned that his type won't be dominant any more.

Most people are just trying to redress the balance.

Also, **** Sky and Fox News.

Hey now, don't tar me with the Twitter brush. I'm a "grower" not a shower so I need consistency in my audience to make an impact. Not what FBPE is either.

I don't think you've used this term correctly.

dLockers has clearly watched GB News, and offered up salient points about why the first 12 hours were rubbish, albeit in a slightly snarky/amusing way

If he hadn't bothered watching it, and banged on about it for weeks on end you might have a point.
