Just got back from watching Italy (unsurprisingly) beat Switzerland - nobody there had either watched GBeebies or was even vaguely interested in doing so - someone described it as Conspiracy Theory infotainment.

I'm not sure how you'd find out about it unless you're actively somewhere that's advertising it....like here, or Reddit, or someone from said place shares it on social media.

If I wasn't on this forum is have never heard of it.

I watched about 15 minutes this evening it was dire and I fully expect ofcom to be all over them if they continue to present such biases one sided versions of the news as there are rules against it in the U.K. also hearing someone refer to the ‘Mogster’ nearly made me sick!

Because the BBC doesn't ever present one sided versions of any news or issues, nope never happened!

I finally managed to get round to watching this and so far all I’ve done whilst watching it was laugh a lot. It’s about as one sided as it gets…after a good few minutes of laughing I turned it over to watch something else.

Won’t be tuning in again but then I don’t tend to watch any of the news channels these days. They all have their own agendas and takes on certain things.

Feel free to back that up with examples? Given your comment I assume you can list several off the top of your head?

The BBC like all other television news outlets is required to show the appropriate degree of impartiality and honesty you are free to complain to ofcom anytime you feel the BBC has breached those impartiality guidelines. I have watched all in about 30 minutes of GB News this evening (I went back for a second dose) and was staggered at the one sidedness of the panel, the sensationalism and the generally low journalistic standards. That’s ignoring the terrible production standards, the awful sound etc etc etc

Except it blatantly does not. For example, there was one TV program recently where there were several - maybe even seven - people interviewed who were all undisclosed leftist plants. Very recently there was someone interviewed on the news and only at the endf was it revealed that she was a leftist.

"leftist plants"

You may or may not be aware that IIRC under ofcom regulations you can have one program that might take one view point, as long as you then have another that has the other, it's how many interview programes work for example (a guest from Party A one week a guest from party B the next).

If you really think it was biased make an official complaint to both the BBC and the regulator...

Again specific examples please so we can all see this terrible ‘leftist’ bias you speak of you seem to be heavy on rhetoric and light in detail. If your claims are true please file a complaint with ofcom although I’m sure such blatantly biased programs have already attracted hundreds of complaints like wootton’s horribly blinkered monologue on lockdowns? (375+ complaints to date)

Just watching Andrew Neil's segment with Portillo and Liam Halligan, they go in much more detail analysing Rishi Sunak's job running the economy than anything on Sky or BBC.

So BBC 3 is their pressure pipe then?
All news outlets try to push a narrative tbh, some see through it some don't
Some are obviously biased some are merely perceived as biased. The BBC are so left wing biased Nigel Farage is in the top 5 for appearances on one of it’s headline political shows despite never being elected to a parliamentary seat. I wait to see examples of left leaning public figures given significant air time on GB News.

and if you don't see why he's USED so much then...They have to show the baddy don't they.
Do the panel get paid for going on the shows?

A bit like Piers Morgan talking to whom ever, coming across as if all he's done is watch some youtube videos before hand...

Yes, the BBC got badly dinged for it.

I didn't watch it. I have, however, made several complaints to the BBC over the years on a number of subjects - not all political - and they've all been brushed off.

I was at an event at which James Naughtie spoke and he boasted of the BBC's bias!

Back on topic: I watched another snippet of GB News today. I think I lasted about 30 seconds. It was utter drivel.

Pretty sure his point wasn't that they have people on taking one view point, it's that BBC often have labour activists on yet fail to disclose that those people are labour activists violating their own impartiality guidelines that they claim to enforce, hence "plants":

4.3.12 We should not automatically assume that contributors from other organisations (such as academics, journalists, researchers and representatives of charities and think-tanks) are unbiased. Appropriate information about their affiliations, funding and particular viewpoints should be made available to the audience, when relevant to the context.

Take the Panorama about the NHS as an example, almost every GP they picked for the documentary were vocal labour activists, you only have to have a 2 second look at any of their insufferable social media profiles to know it, yet BBC didn't mention their political affiliation at all.

Anyway, back on topic, I feel like GB News would have been better off not being a 24 hour channel, there's a lot of pointless filler. The interview with Rishi and analysis afterwards was OK so there is potential for some useful news/discussion, but not really a fan of all the Dan Wootton segments.
