GD Downgrade.

No... the terms are not mutually exclusive, I was merely stating that quality of post is not a factor as to how many replies it will get, but contraversiality IS. I don't mind controversial topics

I realise that you post controversial topics and I value your contribution... but I have noticed that quite a few good responses get ignored and then there are the PC meatheads whose social skills don't extend past posting "send them back  " in mocking response to any poster they don't share the opinion of. Controversial one-liners are quite frankly pap.
There are also politically incorrect meatheads too. In short, being or not being a meathead is incidental to being PC or not PC :p

Come on dude. That doesn't help the situation. It stirs things up a it when we get "IBTL" followed by "IBTL's", and it's annoying when people post one liners :(

That's my thoughts there, on GD :) (i'm not picking on you Biohazard, just using you as an example :) )

Was meant tongue in cheek.... ;)

Cats are funny, [ladies only], youtube thread are all good :D . There does seem to be a lot of controversial stuff and news articles posted, but I just ignore them if they don't interest me :)

My representation of the OcUK forum cycle. I've been pointing this out for years.

It's supposed to be a sinusoidal wave, at a frequency of 4 cycles a year.

I do, it teaches me to hate white middle class tax payers.

And love Mussies.

I read a wonderful article in there the other day about how a brief interview with a Muslim woman encouraged the journalist to take a new look at 'her entire religion'... which I think says a lot about the journalist that he meets one non-stereotypical Muslim and feels the need to re-examine the entire religion because of it. It raises the question of how a Guardian journalist forms their opinions on issues...

The story warmed my heart, I'm going to read the Guardian again some day.

It's funny, when you use the latest Excel all the time, its surprising how limited you find the previous versions...

I made it back in the day before we had all those fancy excel thingymabobs, good oul MS Paint is hard to beat ;)

GD is on an upward spiral not a downward one. Toward the end of summer all we had were people complaining about how crap GD was. This thread is the first I've seen for weeks, nay, even the first comment I've seen about it in weeks.

gd is fine. people have making remarks about it's decline as long as i can remember. it's the same now as when i first joined, and i doubt that will be changing any time soon.

Having been a resident of OcUK for over two years, I have experienced the times where people are happy to post questions such as "how do I wipe my rear end?" and "should I lift the toilet seat up before I tinkle?". Towards Christmas, GD takes a small turn for the better (for me) by suggesting ideas for Christmas, etc.

It really annoys me that the Moderators allow some of the pathetic questions to even spend more than a minute on the forums. Some of them are so pathetic, and the answer could be found by blinking and thinking, that you have to wonder how some OcUK members get through life with somebody holding their hand.

Right now, GD is fine for me. We've got the usual topics you'd expect to find in General Discussion.

Maybe it's me, but I can't see a single relationship thread on the first page! \o/
