There are plently of other forums I visit which are far worse.

Just because a few posts are pointless doesn't mean the standard of quality overall is going down, but when theres a few stupid posts it seems people think that represents the overall quality. Can't say I've really noticed anything particularly bad.

I dont bother much with GD these days, i occasionally browse it but i rarely post in here now. I think OcUK in general is becoming slightly over moderated at times, and people cant say what they feel without it being deleted.

In its quest to be family friendly i feel it makes older people keep their opinions to them selves a lot of the time.

I think after so long, there is only so much that can be new and interesting. The same topics have been sprouting up for years.

all the numerous threads like this end up going over the same stuff. the same old opinions, the same old arguments. this is why we have the "comments on gd quality" sticky, is it not?

I would tend to agree.

I actually have no problem with the moderation that goes on in here, yes they can and have been overzealous before but who hasn't?

GD has been rubbish since the kids took over the forums abour 4 years ago.

The supposed decline of GD has been going on since "The next house price crash is around the corner" theory which started roughly at the end of the last house price crash.

Summer was a real watershed in people being absolutley bone idle with the raft of "Spec me a bog roll" or "I want a pizza, the pizza shop is next door but I don't know what to do" kind of thread. Not realising that Google is your friend or even better a world exists beyond the confines of the room where your PC or laptop is

For me its certainly been an on an upward trendn anyways

Yeah. EVERY THREAD I read descends into Muslim bashing. I'm not even Muslim, but to read the same **** every thread I read, is a joke. Take this one for example. Some people really need to get a life. Though, I do admire their rare talents.

I come on these forums every other day, after uni, just to read some threads SA mainly. Then sometimes I visit GD, and see the same people (you know who you are) ruining the threads. I mean, we get the point, can't you just stfu for once. If you really want BNP votes, I'll vote at the next election. Oops, I'm not white, sorry can't vote.

Personally I think GD has got a lot better from what we had a while back (even with the Muslim threads as at least now there is more proper discussion rather than trolling).
