GE66 Raider

I probably would have done the same but really needed the card reader, I know I could always use a usb one but there are times in past where I’ve needed one and forgot to put it in bag....... but of an expensive card reader but it is what it is both look like solid machines

very few for any 3000 series tbh, thought there would have been loads by now, i'll be loading modern warefare on mine to test

really looking forward to seeing the results of this, have a G17 on order, but been put off by the lack of mux etc, so be interesting to see how this stacks up on a pure laptop basis.

My GE66 has arrived also, just in the process of setting up and installing apps, there was a factory seal covering one of the screws to remove the base :(

Yeah my 2 previous MSI were the same warranty gone on the 1st day:eek: I had a screen replacement on my last one under warranty and I mentioned that it was broken before I sent it and they wasn't bothered, even put a new one on when they sent it back

it doesnt say warranty seal just factory seal :) was odd tho, box was sealed but when i opened it there was obvious finger prints on lid and palm rest which quickly vanished when it warmed up, all i can think is the guy in the factory wasnt wearing gloves!!!

how can we tell if its max q or not?

Not sure if this is the correct info you require but I went into the nVidia ctrl panel and chose help/sys info and mine showed 130w but since using the latest driver update that part of info is gone???

ah, i've just updated the driver :( i guess when i actually get a game installed and run it i will be able to tell from the gpuz log

so far i'm pretty happy with it, certainly a lot snappier than my old alienware 13 r3 and its not that much bigger dispite having a much bigger screen
