I'm a PC gamer and keyboard/mouse support is so natural. Due to a prolapsede disc and the pain trying to sit at the computer I bought xbox 360 and Gears of War. What a total waste of money!! I hate consoles and gamepads. I still have nightmares at how impossible I find games on a gamepad!

I know its me who is not used to them but they are so uncontrollable as far as i'm concerned.

So here is smeone who will be buying the PC version. Just hope the damned NHS will hurry up and I can have my back operation :(

I enjoyed it on the X-Box. Good game, but i thought it was over rated. However, i'd buy and play it again on PC as on 360 on numerous occasions i found myself lusting for a keyboard and mouse!

I have owned this game on the xbox 360 for nearly a year and i have timed the total gameplay i have played GOW at 7 minutes.

I spent nearly £600+ on the 360 at christmas last year including the wheel and games and yet i find myself unable to play it. Sure consoles are the best IMO when it comes to pro evo and racing games but the PC wins hands down for its sheer range of different uses.

TF2 is by far the best game i have played in ages. I seriously doubt GOW would ever tempt me away from TF2 and ET.

Anyone know if GoW on the PC uses PhysX?

It seems sensible that it would (as it does on the xbox, and UT3 uses it), but i've not heard anything regarding it or not...

I'll probably get this for PC, ill be using the 360 controller though as it suits the game perfectly. I used to think i was a 'SPAZ' with controllers but the 360 pad is a truly excellent one thats easy to get to grips with.

I can't believe how many people agree with you here and elsewhere. This is simply untrue. The controller does not have the slightest chance beating the accuracy of a mouse. This is especially apparent during close combat; with the controller you move around trying to aim like a geriatric, whereas with a mouse you probably would have done a headshot and made off home to make tea.

Thats not what he meant. The game was designed around joypad controls, so he prefers to play it that way - which makes sense.

If the game difficulty isnt massively increased using kb/m controls, I'll be doing the same.

Am I right in thinking I will have to pay a monthly or annually sub on top of the game cost to play online ? .... if thats the case it can stay on the shop shelf rather than mine.

Nope your be able to can play it online with a silver account(free) but a Gold subscription allows you to play List Play, Ranked, and Player Matches. Also have multiplayer Achievements if you have a gold subscription.

I'm going to try the keyboard/mouse controls to start off with as the devs have mentioned in the videos that they have spent a lot of time on the controls for the pc. Failing that out I will plug in my xbox360 controller :)
