Geforce 301.24-beta (GTX480/570/580 Series now get FXAA + Adaptive Vsync)

Even more of a potential advantage if your not hitting 120fps constantly (unless your really really picky about tearing).

With vsync enabled you have to wait an additional frame before the next one is rendered if your not rendering fast enough to hit the vsync cap.

a potential advantage compared to just normal vsync, but as tearing doesnt bother me in newer games i guess it's not worth it. Am I right in thinking if i cant reach 120fps vsync will never be on with the adaptive setting?

I saw this option also.

What do you think the difference is between this apparent bespoke option for BF3, Trine 2 and Firefox and simply the 'enabled' option?

What settings are people using in Starcraft 2? I have FXAA set to ON and AA set to override the application settings. Is this right or should I set it to enhance the application?

Potentially a stupid question here, but I've just been playing GTA with FXAA enabled and took some screenshots with FRAPS. So I've gone to look at them afterwards and there are jaggies all over the place?? Is that normal?

Yep. FXAA is a shader injection so it is applied after the part where the screenshot is taken.

either adaptive v-synch or FXAA is causing my system to have major CPU spikes, causing pauses in game when being killed etc.

needs more investigation, will report back
