By any chance do you have the XFX 7600gt XXX edition?

Would that mean my score is around 6557?

Mine:

Overclocked: 600 core / 800 ram

I only have stock cooler atm

Why is everyones RAM clock much higher than mine??!! am i just being a noob!!??

600 core is understandable.

Are you sure your 800mhz stated above, is not your RAM but your speed of your RAM (memory clock)?

sunlitsix - why should I get 3d mark 05 rather than 3d mark 06?

ok! Il get 3d mark 05 now and post my results later on.

im confused...

when you say your RAM on your GPU is 1600 does that mean the RAMDAC's?

and is memory clock and RAM totally different?

memory clock refers to the speed of the RAM

RAMDACS have nothing to do with the RAM, the RAMDACS are to do with the outputs on the card (DVI or VGA) :)
 
Well if you say your stock speeds are 590 core / 1600 ram...

Thats what mine are because we have the same cards :)

In the overclocking page on the NVidia driver settings I have:

Core clock frequency: 600

Memory clock frequency: 800

Is this wrong? Plus the slider for the memory is close to the top, 840 is the max.

Yes but is it silent in Windows use? What other fans do you have in the system and can you hear it over them? The system I built is silent apart from the screamer on the 7600gt! :p

I can't hear it when it is idling but when i run 3dmark it starts to 'scream'! Well not that bad but you can definatley hear it.

heh its no problem :D

the memory clock is the speed of the ram
the ram is GDDR3, so the memory clock of the ram is 800Mhz which you times by 2 to get its actual speed

800 x 2 = 1600 / 1.6Ghz

I was thinking when looking at memory clock on clock frequencies in a pictures once...

"Wow, whys his memory clock only at 850Mhz"

Now I get it, his RAM is/was infact 1700Mhz!

**So tonyyeb - Your RAM is actually 1600Mhz mate! (800Mhz x 2 = 1600Mhz)**

Cool, i thought it might be that. Thanks sunlitsix for clearing that up. So...

Im at Core 600 / Memory 1600. Ill get a new cooler for it and then clock it up a bit more. I have tweaked a few things and now I have a 3d mark 05 score of 6498.

Dunno how some people have 6500+ at stock! Must be something diff on the card. Plus one guy is at 7100 overclocked... that would be sweet!
