GeForce GTX 590 Key Features Revealed

Before crossfire I ran a single 6950, and before that a 5850. Both cards work fine, and in benchmarks it shows proper scaling, but games just don't work :(

I actually can't reinstall windows, as my iPhone and iTunes are linked with a load of accounts, and reinstalling all my steam games etc would be a huge chore

Since you've had a few video cards on the same install, try removing 'ghost' driver installs / card references in device manager that Windows keeps around :

Btw, this is not the same as showing hidden devices in device manager, so could help. Just don't go wild deleting every ghosted entry shown.

Just do the ones under display devices, reboot & reinstall drivers again.

Fixed a few problems for me when Win7 / DxDiag wasn't recognising my 5850 properly after having various different driver installs / 3-4 video card changes.

Try what MoodyB said, and why would you have to install everything again? Steam data canbe backed up/copied then after you copy them back into the directory it just verifies the files for you.

Iphone and Itunes accounts...you can re link them surely? Or just back it up onto another device/partition?

Who will actually buy this card? I'm guessing people with multiple monitors. Surely you wouldn't need this card for a single monitor @ 1920 x 1080?

Single monitors @ 1600p (4096000 pixels) above 1080p ( 2073600 pixels) also require more than a 580 for 60fps in certain games, although I will only buy one or two if the price is ok, after the price has settled down from release price hikes from retailers. Already skipped 480's as the performance boost wasnt high enough for the outlay it would cost me (waterblocks adding a lot onto price etc) same with 580's :(

Looks like a 295

If the 590 is 2x 580gtxls then its going to be more like £800 given the currant price of the 580. Also the 6990 is more expensive then 6970's so extend the same logic to the 590........

I'm hoping Nvidia use their heads on the pricing. But I maybe asking too much :P
