Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Really don't get this rational. I could afford to pay €200 for the next AAA title i want. Doesn't mean there's any justification to actual pay it. Enjoyment or no. It's that type of mentally that has us assuming the position as it is.
You do realise there are a lot of games out there people have spent way more than £200 on don't you?

The fallout 76 collectors edition was around £200 I think. MMO's will cost you way more than that if you spend time on them. Loot boxes, vanity items, whales on the android/apple scene who literally spend tens of thousands of pounds on a single game.

Sorry but you can't rationalise a price on someones enjoyment...

I really hope the reference 2080 Ti has an excellent cooler and is reasonably priced. If I do get one it might my first reference card in a very long time, particularly if the AIB ones are overpriced.
We all know they will sell like hotcakes, whatever the price, and they'll not be able to meet demand.

Just wait to see when the supply is low and retailers put a hike on them...

All the whinging in here about the prices is hilarious, as once they go up for pre-order, they'll all be banging them in, and i bet the shop goes down under the sheer amount, be unable to load, timing out etc...., gona be great! :D

Credit where credit is due, he sure knows how to put on a good show.

Doesnt detract from the fact he looks like a tool in that leather jacket though, but it doesn't matter, hes filthy rich and can do basically whatever he likes, so kudos to him really. In a sad way you have to admire his ability to continually fleece the same people over and over, its almost like some kind of drug.

Could nvidia have a hidden faster card after the launch of the 2080 ,s I think so.
There's nothing hidden about it. The only consumer-grade card (i.e. not including Titans) that uses their largest Pascal GPU is the 1080 Ti. It's rumoured that in the 20xx series they won't even use the largest GPU on the 2080 Ti - it'll probably be a full-fat TU104 (i.e. mid-range chip). If that's true, you'll need to fork out for a Titan if you want their largest GPU, the TU102.

That's right, 2080 Ti buyers might be paying £1200 for a mid-range chip.

You sound *really* bitter. Although your first sentence does ring true.
