Geforce Titan rumours.

Why are you going on so much and yet, have no interest in buying?

You have made your point now please stop ramming it home.

It is like a personal crusade to put people off buying it.

Nothing I can say or do will put any one off of buying it who is buying it.

They will pay absolutely no attention to me because they will buy it any way.

Products like this will always, always sell.

So I am being critical. Well that's what I have waited all of this time for ! You know? that moment when we find out exactly what it is and what it can do.

That's the best part. If it's awesome (and I still reserve judgement though I know for a fact it will never be worth it) then GOOD ! that's what I want to see and I would imagine every one else also.

AMD should not be worried. The yield is terrible on these cards. They have 8970 to slay it later and the smart money will still be with team red even now.

At this very moment a 7970 can be had for £269 with about 8 free games.

A mate of mine bought one last week and got £60 for the games.

That means that 7970 Crossfire is around £420 right now.

No, you have gone on now like a madman for 2 days with constant drivel and nothing but a tirade of hate. You have given no consideration to how it overclocks and anyone who dares to respond to you has been told they are wrong.

Take a breath, calm down and relax.

For the non readers regarding availability.

"NVIDIA hasn’t gone into depth for launch quantities, but they did specifically shoot down the 10,000 card rumor; this won’t be a limited run product and we don’t have any reason at this time to believe this will be much different from the GTX 690’s launch (tight at first, but available and increasingly plentiful)."

seems like quite the monster, no point whining about the price, if you can't afford it, it isn't aimed at you

looking forward to seeing the overclocked performance at some different resolutions

No that's how you see it.

Which isn't surprising because you are, by your own confession, definitely buying Titan.

I told you yesterday I don't do ideology. Basically just because there are a few here who are buying Titan doesn't mean I should get out my little flag and wave it as the parade goes by.

All I have been doing is discussing the latest Titan news and events. Most notably the ones where it came to light that this card wasn't going to be all it was cracked up to be.

No offense here Greg, but you certainly didn't seem to mind pages and pages of 'drivel' when Titan was going to be right up there with a 690. Infact, you believed in it so well that you sold your hardware in anticipation.

If you want a jelly and ice cream party where every one agrees with you and pats you on the back then you're going to be disappointed.

It isn't just me it's pretty much every one. Nvidia extracting the urine again and people being a bit annoyed. Hardly angry.

This card cost three times as much as a 7970 and is, at the time of me typing this, 35% faster.

If you don't like that then tough.

I like it fine, I still plan on getting 3 of them as they are the only cards capable of driving 2560x1440 x3 unless I want to wait till the end of the year and take my chances on 780 being faster or slower

Greg, he did this all over the 6** release as well, turned every 680 or 670 thread in to a tirade of vitriol and about how anyone who bought them would be an idiot to do so... and then bought 2 of them himself

Studied it years ago now, but you have it back to front I'm sure. Every 10C increase reduces the time to failure by half.

Sorry Pal, bad timing on the reply, every 10c reduces life by Half, should never have bought % into it ....my bad

You are correct ;) I'm a little deflated atm, big build up and quick deflation :D

I really hope reviews use a case!! Open air test rigs are commonly used.

Regarding pricing even Hexus says it really should not be more than £600 and not £825:

http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graph...-gtx-titan-6gb-graphics-card-overview/?page=3

There's little point in considering this card, or multiple cards, if you game at 1,920x1,080. This is the sort of hardware that's begging to be attached to a premium 4K display. A single-card price tag of £825 or so is also verging on the ludicrous, frankly, but NVIDIA isn't planning to sell tens of thousands of these; performance leadership is perhaps more important. Really, this card should be no more than £599, if that, but NVIDIA follows the Intel Extreme Edition pricing path and charges an exorbitant amount for a card that, it seems, has no performance peer.

So,moving forward this card does not have good price/performance but, TBF,once you start going over £300 you start hitting the law of diminishing returns.

Now,onto the reviews in two days time!! :)

Oh so you're buying Titan too then.

It makes sense now.
