Geforce Titan rumours.

Every company gets slammed every time there's a release.

First comes the initial statements, then the rumours, then the price. Then we all go "Oh FFS".

It isn't like I can't afford to buy Titan. Why do people go around saying stuff like that? LOL it's like they think they're better than others. It's comments like that that are angry and egotistical.

Any way, we all wait with baited breath and most of us remember our sense and manage to stay calm. I won't buy another card right at launch and it's nothing to do with money. It's because the prices are inflated and they hardly ever work properly, lest we forget important details like that.

At every launch the prices are a pee take, and I will say so.

IMO Titan isn't even a proper release. It isn't a mainstream card so tbh? hardly worth the attention it has received. It's not like this heralds a new era or a complete new range. Nothing has changed back in the real world.

It's simply an elitist product. There have been plenty over the years.

AMD get royally slammed everytime there is a paper-launch, yet this is embargoed to the point cards will likely be on sale before "real" numbers come to light.

Guru3d stated that they can't provide benches as the drivers won't be ready for another 2 days... what rubbish.

<flame>Well to be honest, at least it isn't held together with woodscrews this time, or a rebrand of a 4 generation old product</flame>

Reviewers getting excited about "Overclocking your monitor" LOL
Seriously - even all of the LCDs I have owned - if you actually bother to install a driver you can choose 75Hz instead of 60Hz... 120Hz instead of 60Hz... doh, yes because it uses the panel from a 3d monitor that has to do 120Hz.... Anything else - you are going to damage the monitor or it simply will do nothing.

Kaap has more cards than moonpig.

Ha I like that one.

Well at that price I'm out just bought another 680, putting the rest toward Haswell gear :) .. I only game at 1080 so that is me more than happy until later this year when we see the game begin once again :) - I will not use the in game cash you get with the bundle now so offers welcome if that is allowed ??

As you’ll soon see, the combination generally falls between a GeForce GTX 690 and Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition in our benchmarks. That means:

Pay the same $1,000 for a GeForce GTX 690 if you only want one dual-slot card and your case accommodates the long board. It remains the fastest graphics solution we’ve ever tested, so there's no real reason not to favor it over Titan.
The Titan isn’t worth $600 more than a Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. Two of AMD’s cards are going to be faster and cost less. Of course, they’re also distractingly loud when you hit them with a demanding load. Make sure you have room for two dual-slot cards with one vacant space between them. Typically, I frown on such inelegance, but more speed for $200 less could be worth the trade-off in a roomy case.
Buy a GeForce GTX Titan when you want the fastest gaming experience possible from a mini-ITX machine like Falcon Northwest’s Tiki or iBuyPower’s Revolt. A 690 isn’t practical due to its length, power requirements, and axial-flow fan.
Buy a GeForce GTX Titan if you have a trio of 1920x1080/2560x1440/2560x1600 screens and fully intend to use two or three cards in SLI. In the most demanding titles, two GK110s scale much more linearly than four GK104s (dual GeForce GTX 690s). Three Titan cards are just Ludicrous Gibs!
