Mansion tax is regressive as it doesn't take in to account ability to pay. I don't think the government should be forcing people to re-mortgage just to pay a tax for example.

They're kindly going to let you defer it, so once you shuffle off your mortal coil your family that's left; can deal with it by being made to pay a tax from when you were alive out of whatever is left in your estate, charming bunch.

What does that even mean lol.

Good thing, flexibility for both employer and employee. Bad thing when abused by poor employers.

They do interact badly with the current means tested welfare stare though, hence why a citizens income would be better.

Given that employer is in the business of making money who do you think will be required to be more "flexible"?

What is a citizens income?

Care to explain?

By examing all offical polls over last months and taking into account distribution across constituencies, especially key Swing seats.

The Poll on OCUK is meaningless and just shows how right wing it is.

Not sure how well the SNP propping up Labour will go down in Scotland.

But Sturgeon and Salmond couldn't care less as long as they get a bit of power.

Labour are popular still in Scotland & it would go do significantly better than another Conservative government (who get next to no votes at all there).

Many SNP voters are ex Labour also.

A lot better then it will south of the border. It would make for a fairly interesting scenario, but not one I'd like to experience first hand, especially at this point in time (economy wise).

I think those hoping for a conservative majority are being very hopeful. Personally, I'd like to see same again for the next 5 years but the polls are very down for the Lib Dems. The UKIP vote seems pointless as conservatives are already pledging a referendum and their other policies haven't quite matured enough. I do wonder how many potential UKIP voters have looked into their other policies too. Ditto for the green party who appear to be the next to the left protest vote.
