Geohot to make it rain again with Limera1n

Got my replacement Iphone 4 on saturday and was very annoyed that i couldnt jailbreak it until midnight when i found out Limerain had been released

Yeah, mine stayed completely the same, but I'm glad I did a backup first anyway - always best to I think, just for peace of mind.

Tongue in cheek comment surely? JB'ing your phone only adds features, it doesn't take anything way from the original iOS.

I've been following the chronic dev team on twitter, they are not happy, but so what, they think they own jbing, good on geohots for doing this.

Guys now the RC1 is out - if I ran that do I need to reinstall everything again??

Hmm, this is my 1st foray into JB, and it just didnt work!

i have followed the videos and it did everything correctly, and then restart but there is no Limera1n or cydia any Ideas??
iPhone4 and I used win xp

Reboot your iPhone

Don't know if it was a fluke, but I had the same problem. I ended up right clicking and running as an Admin, and it worked fine after that.

Don't know what happens if you just try to reapply the jailbreak... or just get AptBackup or whatever its called (on previous page I posted a pic of it) so atleast cydia things are saved. And then uninstall the jb and then put new one on

Yep, on a lot of videos they say to do that. It took me a couple of attempts for it to work on my ipod touch.. it happens...

Rebooting does not make any difference
i dont even see the Limerain teardrop on the phones screen as part of the boot up

4th attempt and many reboots later
it says 'exploiting' and the phone restarts.. no limerain logo... and no JB

Try redownloading the jb for windows? Worth a shot, and make sure u follow the instructions on the vids exactly (more helpful then what the app says)

yea, tried redownloading lol
and have followed a couple of videos...
even tried without the phone passcode just in case .. still nothing..
i give up lol
