German court rules circumcision is 'bodily harm'

he said that they cut the penis off, that is incorrect

No he didn't.

Again you are posting misinformed drivel, do some homework before you attemp to find holes.

What you have stated in factually incorrect and doesnt warrant an explanation, you best of reseaching yourself. It is NOT why it is done in Islam, hence you had no question to ask

What? That's not even what I asked you.

Saying a circumcision is mandatory in Islam IS saying that God's design of men is at fault. To say the foreskin needs to be removed implies the presence of the foreskin is a design defect, which would go against Islam.

Really? It seems very much like you are trying to justify your religious beliefs with non religious reasons.

Just no.

It has been a long thread, I don't recall you saying "The primary reason I am in favour of infant circumcision is because of my faith". Is that the primary reason you are in favour of infant circumcision?

You pretty much asked the same question and i answered it then, my personal reasons are No1: religion, with the added medical benifits in that order.

I told you this then. I have been trying to keep my personal reasons out of it, but it seems you cant help but pretty much point and says "look there's a muslim"

See above... :D

Clearly you've forgotten the context of what was being said. StriderX thought they were two completely separate things (he said he thought Jews read the Torah but felt corrected when you said Tenakh), I was trying to point out that the Torah is part of the Tenakh and not something completely different.

Just like the Tenakh is part of the Bible, they aren't separate and the Bible isn't exclusive to Christianity.

I never said it wasn't. You claimed 'The Bible' specifically refers to Christianity. This is wrong.

No it isn't......'The Bible' refers to the Christian holy book, the Hebrew Bible is known as the Tanakh, they share a portion of scripture, The Torah or the Pentateuch (if we are referring to Christianity).

No he didn't.

Jesus Christ you are so misinformed, until you come back theres nothing i can say to help you.

i can see why you have chosen this line of questioning, but your knowledge is lacking.

In Islam, you are supposed to believe that God and his actions are always without fault, right?

You wanna update Wikipeda then?

You really do have a massive chip on your shoulder when it comes to your faith don't you? I personally couldn't care less what god you choose to believe in however if I feel that some aspect of the faith is stupid I am not going to keep quiet just because it may offend. Islam (and Judaism's) attitudes towards circumcision are frankly wrong and should be discouraged. Much like Catholicism's attitdues towards homosexuality is wrong and should be discouraged. I am not a huge fan of moral relativism when harm is involved.

Please remove your nose from castiels anus :D

Sorry, respect where respect is due, I may disagree with Castiel when it comes to religion on occassion but his knowledge of theology is outstanding.

Dude what are you babbling on about now, i was merely pointing to the fact you keep trying to drag my personal faith into something which i have clearly tried to keep seperate.

Like the "just be honest and say its due to a 1400 year old book" type comments

Which you have repeated various times, in some form of another.

I honestly am sorry that you see it that way, that's really not my intention. I really don't really care what you believe or what religion you belong to, but I can't help but see circumcising babies, without it being necessary, as a fundamentally wrong and sick thing to do.
