German Grand Prix 2012, Hockenheim - Race 10/20

Lol Hill and Herbert telling Horner he's talking **** in the nicest possible way :p

Horner doing a bit of the old slight of hand by trying to move the subject onto Hamilton rather than his man.

IMO and statistically, MSc is the best (most complete) driver of all time. Statistics show he is BY FAR the best (not by a small amount).

For any other driver, MSc's 2nd career (being beaten every year by his team-mate, who is not a great driver), would be fine. For the greatest driver of all time - its embarrassing and certainly tarnishes the greatest name in F1 (as shown by the record books), ever.

it doesnt tarnish anything...

this year hes done about as much as you can expect in that dog of a merc that doesnt seem to have had any updates in ages now while every other team is moving forward.
its arguably the 7th best car on the grid right now and qualifying in positions it shouldnt be only because of msc and the rain.

but im sure one of these " the points are all that matters , where the cars have finished when both drivers have finished the race doesnt count"

amus , autosport etc in their driver ratings for this season put msc ahead of rosberg based on performances this year

Is this right? Lewis retired because he couldn't win. Is that the same as knocking over the Monopoly board when you land on Mayfair?

haha

Of course Vettel had nowhere to go, doesn't mean he should be able to gain an advantage by running off the track though. Doubt he'll be penalised that said.

So he was supposed to crash? It let button go? Button should yield ...

It all makes me think that he is a cry baby along with sky commentators.

Once again it shows how all of them hate Sebastien

LOL there was plenty of runoff area, should've either backed out or given the place back, 'crash' indeed haha.

Alonso had nowhere to go when he passed Kubica at Silverstone 2010 off track, he was given drive-thru. So would expect FIA to be consistent.

Where did I say any of that? I already conceded he had nowhere to go but I didn't think he should gain position by using momentum gained from leaving the track. I don't even see how Button can be a cry baby seeing how he didn't even comment on the matter. We'll see what the stewards say...

Simply was an illegal move. I am not prejudice against Vettel I like the fella' but he was consistently running with all 4 wheel outside the track then overtook with a similar manoeuvre. If he had of backed out I think he would have got Jenson later on the lap, he obviously had better tyres

Ted saying the paddock thinks it's McLaren who have went to the FIA about Red Bull's engine maps and that is is mimicking traction control.

I agree with Talon, it does look illegal but taking that place off Vettel wouldn't be fair - he would have had Jenson before the end of the race regardless.

he would have had Jenson before the end of the race regardless.

Then he should have backed out and taken that next opportunity, that he would have got him in the end has no bearing on the move anymore than Pastor would have got Lewis in the end when he made an illegal move in the stewards eyes.

Then he should have given the place back and pulled off a legit overtake.

*EDIT* Would help if I read the thread :o

I totally agree, but he didn't. Thing is, giving Jenson second back would be slightly undeserving.

To be fair, I guess I can just see it from both ways so whatever the stewards go with I don't really mind.
