As a Hamilton fan even I'll admit he's had some right turns of luck this year. Sure he couldn't have even imagined in his wildest dreams todays result.

Race was a bore fest early on. Once again it needed some help to spice things up

There is a penalty for entering the pitlane after the bollard, but I'm not convinced there's a penalty for leaving the pitlane like that.

For a racing enthusiast it's the complete opposite, the rain brought the race alive without taking into account who finished where.

Well, it took rain to properly wake it up but a good race in the end. Hamilton was simply mighty in the wet, whilst Vettel ran out of skill when it mattered. Red Bull rolled the dice for Max but to no avail, Riccardo unlucky again. Raikkonen was unremarkable and given rubbish strategy but turned in a podium regardless.

Huge stroke of luck with Vettel crashing out, but Merc got their strategy 100% spot on. Everything fell into place nicely.

That was a fantastic final third. I would have preferred to see Hamilton chasing Vettel down for the win though.

Whenever Vettel does better than Ham, it’s a 10/10 race, whenever it’s the other way around it’s a 0/10 race, regardless of the actual race.

While Lewis banged in two consecutive fastest laps.

I think two things happened at the same time, Ham had colder tires, less rubber = harder to get heat into so he was just a little slower on restart. Bottas got told not to risk the cars at the same time Ham's tire temp came in and he raced off into the distance.

Kimi wasn't slow this race and neither were Ferrari, Bottas wasn't slow, Kimi couldn't stay with him and Ham was quite a bit faster.
