From a disaster in qualifying yesterday to that turn around today.

Liberty need to invest in getting some tracks sprayed with water makes the races much more fun to watch.

There is a penalty for entering the pitlane after the bollard, but I'm not convinced there's a penalty for leaving the pitlane like that.

Not really. It was a superb drive, and Vettel binned it through his own mistake.

If he won because Vettel's car randomly failed I would attribute it to luck.

Hamilton won this because he finished the race which Vettel failed to do, due to his own failings.

I did think which luck he was speaking of apart from today's race of course.

Was mainly thinking Azerbaijan where all the cars jumped off the track in front of him. Without the safety car at Silverstone 2nd was unlikely, no rain today he'd have been 5th.

Not saying he hasn't had any bad luck! But in normal conditions the last 2 races the incidents and mechanicals would have dealt him massive championship damage as it is he's come out ahead!

Vettel messed up on his own merit I agree, but Bottas could have taken him after safety car but team orders told him to stay put, that's why Lewis won this race.

Regarding penalty for pitlane incident, they gave it to Kimi in Baku last year. 5 sec for crossing the pitlane lane on ENTRY, and remaining on the track. Its exactly what Hamilton did, if not less.

Bottas took a shot at Lewis, failed to get past and then the team told him to hold position.

Whenever Vettel does better than Ham, it’s a 10/10 race, whenever it’s the other way around it’s a 0/10 race, regardless of the actual race.

You can't say for sure Bottas would have got him though. That's just conjecture.

I still don't think you can attribute luck to an opposing driver making a mistake though. That's just winning because you are better and can keep it on the track.

Seems I missed a good race. What a bizarre championship it has been. I guess that shows what a great driver Hamilton is.
